its not addressed to me but yes there are condoms sold in the uk which are not safe and very easily brake. usually the poundstore ones. i used them before on emergency and omg never again.
Sorry, I should have been clear - I was assuming that people buying condoms for work would buy from reputable places and make sure they had the proper kite mark and so on (although even ones sold in a pound shop should be fit for purpose, and if they're not they should have been reported to Trading Standards).
The only condoms I have ever had break were Durex ones, which has happened twice and I have never bought them since. Usually if they break it's because they're not on properly and nothing to do with the thickness - we had a thread a while ago about the Extra Safe ones breaking and if memory serves me, they're like welly boots
