I made the mistake of doing a bank holiday tour by accident. I got nothing the whole day and this was central London.

I've always found b/h OK but considering this whole month has been dead I'll be in a beer garden somewhere instead :) x

I had a couple of enquiries at the start of this week as to when I would next be in Glasgow, but no definite bookings!

I find that they can go either way, absolutely dead, or mad busy...

I find that the bank holidays over Xmas / new year are crazy the rest of the year -im spending in my local pub drinking cider slush if the weather holds out

So far I would say they are either very busy with way more work than I can handle or totally dead. Now I tend to get ready for clients but then go and do my own thing until a call comes in and if it doesn't then I'm having a day off anyway. If I get one call then I get many and do really well so for me it's always worth getting ready in the morning and just seeing how it goes with a view to dashing home to freshen up if needs be. I can often earn more on one bank holiday Monday than I do for the rest of the week......or absolutely nothing at all. Xmas and new year bank hols are bonkers!

Not sure about this one as it's the last one before schools go back so might be quiet.

Well Friday at the start of the bank holiday weekend was pretty pathetic for me (a good profit, but not compared to the rest of the week).

What are the busy Christmas/New Year times then? I would have thought they were quiet due to family, hearth and home.  :)

For myself personally I find December preety busy but the week leading up to Xmas so 22nd -24 manic  then 27th - 31st manic as well  New Years Eve & Xmas Eve in particular very very busy

New Years day busy and it stay pretty busy till the kids go back to school
There is alway an absolute dead week in jan I find normally around start of either the 2nd /3rd week of Jan where it's totally dead
This year it was the week that started on the 10th jan and I mean dead it was the first year ever I have been home in January for over 10 years and I remember why

Dead in cities and towns, I did okay in the coast though, when I lived there bank holidays and school holidays were awesome.

My phone was very busy but all time wasters or unsavouries. Every booking I had over the weekend was prebooked the week before!
