protection from creepy crawlies
« on: 06 July 2021, 03:28:05 pm »
Like we dont have enough to contend with !How can we protect ourselves from fleas, lice and bed bugs and the likes ?

Not sure if its fleas/ bed bugs/ or what but have two itchy bites around my ankle after a client left my place last night.. ....he wanted to leave his clothes on as part of his 'fantasy'... ::) and im quite certain this came from him as he has cats and dogs

Not sure how you would protect from fleas as even the cleanest client can spread animal and human fleas without necessarily knowing. Even in the same household some types of fleas may glom onto one person and ignore the rest.

I think, if it's animal fleas they can't jump very high so ankle bites sounds right. I'm guessing they'll have a bit of a munch for a few days but I don't think they survive long on humans, we're the wrong host. Human fleas like exploring and will nibble all over the body.

Cannomile lotion may sooth the itching.

Silly question have you visited anywhere recently that has animals or materials, textiles used by animals? If you really think it's the pet loving punter maybe worth a warning on the usual sites.

Thanks Salty, didnt have any camomile  so dabbed some TCP on the bites seems to have stopped the itching.

Cant say for certain its that punter but it's a high probability as  he didnt take his clothes off and I now suspect the real reason maybe he has bites too but I can only speculate.

Not visited any of those places and only been to  my local supermarket and one outcall in last 2 weeks .
The outcall was  on Friday, he had both a cat and dog but the home was spotless and these bites just popped up last night.

Oh well! I guess it's just another thing I'll add to my list of despair associated with escorting. >:(

Anthisan cream helps soothe the bites.

Cat or dog fleas will die off in a few days if you don't have either animal yourself, and bed bugs I think you can spot (or at least their faeces) in your bedding?

Thankfully wasnt bed bugs , Checked on Google the bites look different.
Bed bugs are not so easy to get rid off ...need to wash everything at very high temperature and depending on level of infestation may need to get the property fumigated , get rid of mattress  ...sometimes furniture...
