I was wondering if you guys could toss some suggestions my way
What do you tell people when they ask where you work?
I am living with room mates and I'm not yet sure if I will tell them how I earn a living
Any help is muchly appreciated!

I wouldn't tell them. No way. They'll think you're making a fortune and expect you to pay for everything, and if there's any bitchiness it always comes up. I assume you are doing outcalls.

Market research used to do me. I told everyone I went out to do interviews about different products. Sometimes it takes an hour, sometimes longer, sometimes less. Explains a lot away like erratic times of working etc. I did do market research a few times so it's easy to talk about.

I work from home in my other job anyway so I'm lucky I don't get too much noseyness.  I would'nt tell them the truth either, you never know if that would bite you on the bum one day x

It can also be a secret weapon. If people know what you do they can use it against you. And some guys think you are easy. But sometimes the knowledge and experience can come in useful.
