Agency only have one client am I with the wrong one?
« on: 11 October 2019, 04:54:09 pm »
Hello all,

Just need some advice.. started with an agency who charge quite high for area say £50 more then usual agency rates. I’ve been there two days and only had one client. I’m the biggest on their books at a size 14 with a belly plus I’m more girl next door then glamours lol.

Do you think maybe I’m starting somewhere else with a lower rate? Just new to this don’t know what I’m doing wrong??

How many clients do you expect from the agency per day Kelly?

Does it take time for agency workers to build up clients, be noticed, get a following?

How many hours are you available, are you incall or outcall? Did they promise you a certain number?

I've always found agency work more unreliable than indie, having only got one booking in two days from an agency, is not that shocking to me at all. I also find agencies tend to be prone to working on a 'Nandos-esque' business model of pitching to clients what they think is going to be generically popular across the board and less comfortable working with anyone who might vaguely be considered niche. I should say as an aside, though, lots  of clients will prefer 'girl next door' to glamorous and size 14 is  not really niche either.

The only thing you can do if it you want more clients is to try another agency alongside for a while (use a different name and photos - agencies might say you can't do this but they have no right to make that stipulation) or you could just switch for a while, as long as you leave on good terms agencies usually don't mind women coming and going (well, sometimes they mind but they need you more than you need them - important to always remember! - so they have to suck it up) and/or set up an indie profile if youre able and then see which avenue suits you best in terms of rates and numbers of clients. When you're new, it is often a case of experimenting with the avenues in the industry until you find the method of working that suits you best.

Thank you for your reply :) they did say they don’t work on high volume because of the way their agency is set. But one is just too low for me! So you don’t think size 14 and not being glamorous would effect my popularity. The agency did say In the nicest way that if I slimmed down and took more care I would be more popular

Thank you for your reply. It’s an incall place which is their home. No promises did tell me they focus on quality rather then quantity so wouldn’t be loads of clients a day. But i do think I’m bottom of barrel at moment being new and not model looks..

Yea I've known lots of women who aren't super slim being busy. And there are men who like the high glamour thing and men that like 'girl next door'. As long as you are presentable and offer a good service you can be popular. Agencies like to blame their like of success or validity in an era when its some much easy to be indie on the women who they take their percentage off. I've never found agencies reliable ways of getting income, ever, and I've worked for agencies as a size 8 age 20 and a 14 age 30.

Yes maybe I’m better off trying to try all avenues. I just find it mind blowing how many great choice of escorts out there how on earth do I market myself when others can’t?? I have read through posts about staffing on own perhaps I will take what I get with this agency and if it don’t get better save what money I can to get a phone photoshoot and set up on adult work. I guess I have to admit to myself to make money I have to put effort in exactly like starting any business.
The plus side the one client I did get wants to book again as he felt it was an authentic experience. So perhaps one regular every few months but that’s not going to help my bank balance ::)

I don't know the set up so am guessing...

If it's a brothel apartment where the men choose from a group of girls in the flesh.... That can be a challenging, competitive environment, fashion models have lineups for modelling contracts and it's depressing for the ones who get rejected. Some SW are just more experienced in 'actressing' for lineups in brothels and maybe that's not the right set up for you.

If it's a phone up agency, it's possible you had other job requests but they're not telling you. 'Bad' agencies have their favourites and mates and may give their buds the pick of the jobs. Even if clients ask for you specifically the agency can do the jobs themselves and you'll never know. I tested an agency with a request from a male friend and they did this to me. They used my profile as bait. Maybe you can test them?

The negative body comments seems like bullying to keep you insecure and vulnerable. You employ them. They don't employ you. So don't choose to feel belittled or beholden.

You are their client and pay them commission to do their job efficiently. If you're not a happy client because they are misleading you or the work environment doesn't suit your personality then find another way.

This is the bit you can work on and yes people do pick up on vibes, at the least some punters will detect this and either avoid you, take advantage or try to help.

Your posts so far have been very down on yourself, my OH explains to me punters who are attracted to you are attracted to you. End of - just learn to market your strengths rather than think you have to fit a particular mould.
