I would take Fion's advice. The police work in partnership with Mugs and help to protect us and our identity, report to Mugs and ask them for advice. I found them very nice to speak to. Sorry this happened to you and your friend hope you are recovering.

I know you have concerns about the apartment, partner etc. Just my personal experience- If you tell someone to leave and they refuse, it's a crime called 'trespass' and you can ring the police immediately. You don't have to warn them or show them you've rung the police. In some cases it's safer not to let them know. They will remove and possibly arrest him. This criminal did a lot more, he 'threatened', 'intimidated', 'forced money from you-extortion', all crimes.

I have rung the police on clients and they're very happy to rush over and help. They will remove the man, take his personal details and check him for criminal record. Even if the client is gone they want to search the area, identify and investigate him. The police don't care that I'm a sex worker. My friend notified the police of her work and the officers know her name and address if she rings them with any problems.

He sounds like an experienced criminal and conman. The shouting is just to scare, the loudness is just an act. He  pretended to call the police, which means he didn't really want them around. Often we see these things after the event. Guns threats are taken very seriously by the police and he needs to be stopped.

I agree. The police do not care if you're a sex worker; you're not doing anything illegal. If anything they are quite helpful and want to keep us safe, so if you're nervous about telling the police that you're a sex worker I really wouldn't worry OP

just like the rest of the uk, it is. also police scotland do not have a good record on this. I'd contact NUM and go from there.
