Advice Please to new starter.
« on: 28 June 2010, 09:29:49 am »
I am now in my 4th month of being an Independent Escort.

I had quite a few inquiries coming in to start with, but now they have almost completely dried up - last week being the worst - 4 inquiries and no work.

Is Summer a slow time for escorting? Is the business Seasonal?

Any advice on how to increase the leads coming in would be most appreciated.

Any comments on how it was for you when you first started would be good too.

Thanks

Welcome to the site.  The best advice is to read through the main site several times and then scan through all the relevant forum threads.  There is so much knowledge here.

Last week was world cup - I have had no business for 4 days and very little this last couple of weeks as they are all in the pub. Thank god we got knocked out.

Business I find is generally better in good weather, providing it is not TOO hot.

Other ladies will advise that school holidays gives a dip but I have not found that.  I think a lot of ladies in my area have children and cannot work then so child free escorts take up the slack - as it were.

Advertising and refreshing your profile and pictures makes a huge difference.

I find my work changes through the month. So I'm busy for the first two weeks, then I have a quiet week (last week) ,and it picks up again in the fourth week as people tend to get their wages towards the end of the month... then it's back to a busy couple of weeks  :)

Last week was unusually quiet for me, probably a combination of football and guys waiting for payday!

It's usually regulars I see in that quiet week, so give yourself time to build up a base of regular clients who will always manage to scrape together enough to see you  :-*

Have you added your site to all the relevant directories? This helps, as do professional pictures..

Four enquiries a week does sound too little, the work can be slightly up and down in summer but you should get at least three to four enquiries a day.. Another thing is research, but hey your here so you are making a good start. Punternet, puntingzone, punterlink and AW are probably my most lucrative sources of work.

Thanks

Thanks everyone who gave me such good advice.

Yes Moonfruit is a great website for making up your own website - even I can do it!
