Hey,
Does anybody have any advice on how to filter out no shows?
They sound perfectly fine on the phone, then don?t bloody show up, block / ignore my calls!
Had 3 in the past 24 hours :'(

I always thought bookings from Aw members are genuine, but just now guy from AW didn't show up :/
-
Are you in a new area today Gothgirl?
Are you asking them to confirm at a specific time before they arrive?

No booking is genuine until they have arrived and paid.

Yes I?m on tour. They were pretty short notice bookings tbh, but will start asking people to confirm that they are definitely coming 30 minutes before from now on. :P

Yes always make them jump through hoops, such as when they call asking them to call back in 5-10 minutes, once they have booked state they need to confirm at X time. The genuine clients will be happy to do these.

I don't think anyone can stop punters getting spooked/changing their mind last minute, even if they're at the end of the road with the intention to come in, the wind can always change. But when they're more likely double booking/sitting in bed wanking, It's aggravating. I think you just have to keep up good comms, keep checking on them (if they don't mind you contacting their phone). You can even explain it's because you get timewasters often, which is why you insist on keeping in touch.
Really, being contactable in the run up to a meet is hardly asking much of the client. It shouldn't be any skin off their nose.

Unless they book 1 hour before the appt my guys ALWAYS have to confirm, that really filters out timewasters I can tell you!
Usually 30 minutes or 1 hour beforehand, depending on how far in advance they've booked. My proper advance booking guys (day or more) if an afternoon or evening booking, have to confirm once in the morning and again 1 hour before the appointment.
When I realised that most of my problems (no shows, cancellations, walkouts, other timewasting/boundary pushing) came from the real short notice guys ie. 1 hour or under I instigated a minimum 1 hour notice rule (aside from regulars who can give less notice).

When you're on tour in a new area, all the TW and wankers come out of the woodwork, because the local girls and regular tourers to that area have already blocked them.

I honestly think they multiply, like flies! Since I tour a lot in the summer months, even when I regularly visit somewhere or come back to my normal patch there are yet more of them to be swatted away.

I?ve been here quite a few times & I?m still bloody getting them 😭

I always ask for what time they want to book for then ask for them to call me as soon as they leave to get to me so that I know they are on their way and then call me back to get specific location once at the given landmark......this helps me a lot as most don't call back.
Those that call me with specific booking arrangement and time of arrival and don't show gets blocked.
You could do something similar as suggested by others.
And it's true, when you start in a new area all the wankers, time wasters and no-shows come out of the woodwork so it's up to you to develop a strategy as to how to deal with them....
Good luck 😉

My advice is;
No shows are likely to be...
1. Same day and particularly same hour phone bookers
2. AW users with no feedback
3. Ask too many questions at time of booking
4. Sound young and nervous on the phone
5. Start haggling on price or request things you say you don't do
6. Have obviously not read your profile
7. Don't ask obvious questions about your location (wait for them to ask for directions... never offer up front). I once had a booking from a guy I was dead cert would be a no show - he never asked for directions
Reliable ones will...
1. Book well in advance and confirm/follow your coms instructions (so make sure you ask them to text on morning of appointment or 1 hour before if same day booking
2. Have lots of positive AW feedback
3. Book on AW (only reliable if they have more than 5 or 6 feedbacks) - unreliable for those with zero feedback
4. Know that you have their number
5. Ask obvious questions about location and parking etc

I have many many reliable same day bookers, the problems I mainly have is those requesting less than an hour's notice and I have effectively cut those out.
AW users with no feedback are often fine so long as they are polite, clean and respectful which is what I ask of all my guys.
Sounding nervous is not a crime, or being young, that being said I only see over 25s.
I agree with the rest of your list!

As well as very short notice, I find that those who book too far in advance are far more likely to cancel and not show.
AW feedback must be taken with a large sack of salt. Means nothing to me, I have seen great guys with 0 FB and awful guys with tons of it, and vice versa. I also see many many guys outside of the AW system so I have to use my instinct, so long as they follow my booking procedure, fine.
Same with booking on AW means nothing, most of my guys from AW don't and most are lovely and respectful.
Agree with most of the rest!

totally agree but there are exceptions hopefully! monstly to me is like your list! some 0 feedback could be a nice surprise and some with a lot of good feedback can be a bad surprise.
Those that follow instructions they are the best! it is more to book and then i am always happy and relaxed to meet them! i am generous with them!

1. I always, always talk to them on the phone to literally sound them out.
2. Once a booking time has been agreed I ask them to text to confirm one hour beforehand.
3. If I don't hear from them I'll either ignore if I had any TW vibes, or text them at about T-45 minutes from the booking time, asking if they still want to meet; I'd say about 70 percent of the time I don't hear back, 30 percent they've forgotten or got held up at work etc.
-
My tip is always have a confirmation time, and always sight before giving the door number. Explain this when the booking is made so that all new clients are aware, and clear what is required. These two steps reduced the number of my no-shows to virtually nil.

When they want to come over I dont give them my full post code I only give them the general area.
I ask them to call me when they are leaving once they are in their car I give them my full post code so they can enter it directly into their sat nav whilst I'm on the phone.
I then ask them what road does it bring up and how long does it say it will take to get to me.
That way I know they have really put it in and put it in correctly and I have an idea on how long they will take to get to me.
I've found genuine punters don't mind jumping through a few hoops as they understand we need to weed out TW's
