Advice needed regarding Body Make-up for photoshoot
« on: 18 June 2012, 06:06:13 pm »
I have a photoshoot for my profile on Friday and I am not a natural lingerie model!  I wondered if anyone can recommend what sort of body make-up to use that would help me to look my best in the pictures.  I am not sure whether or not it should be something matt or shimmery?  I would especially like to help minimise the look of the bit of cellulite I have.

As always ladies, I really appreciate everyone's wisdom and advice.

Kind regards

I highly recommend Booty Parlor Dust Up Kissable Body Shimmer Cocoa Bronze. I purchased it online so I?m not sure if you can get anywhere in the stores. I used it for my photoshoot and it lasted hours. It was perfect ? easy application, not too messy and gave me a nice glow. Not cheap but as always you get what you pay for  :)
Good luck with your photoshoot!

Retouching  :D

Seriously, if you have a shoot booked with a professional I'd be apalled if they didn't retouch them and get rid of your cellulite, smoothing skin is easy. If they don't retouch ask for hi res images and google for a retoucher - India usually does them for a couple of dollars a picture IME.

Other than make sure you're well moisturised and don't have dry skin, manicured and pedicured nails, good hair, good base (quite thick but you don't want it to cake) fake lashes, and I used some benefit bathina oh so fine body shimmer, you can also use baby oil to make you glisten a bit/a lot depending on what you want to look like, but check with your photographer.  :)

Oh and fishnets always make your bare legs look good under knickers.

maybe get a spray tan done a couple of days before, it hides cellulite and makes you look slimmer and sexier xx

Thanks for your replies ladies :)

I will be taking a memory card along to the shoot (which is non professional, I might add) so I will be able to retouch them a little once I get them home.  Although I do want them to be realistic and not too "air brushed".  Although I will be airbrushing out my tattoo (I have a very small one on my tummy) as I don't want to have anything identifiable in the pics (so a blurry face too!)

I'm a little scared to try a spray tan before the shoot as I haven't had one before.  I thought if I tried make up at least I could wash it off if it didn't look right.

I'll have a look into the products mentioned, many thanks xxx

Yes I wouldn't go with the spray tan TBH, because they can be done dreadfully sometimes and it would be easier for the photographer to make the whole of you more tanned, than have to start trying to match your face with your feet etc.
