Hey,

Are there any escorts who work in Victoria, Australia? Or who have recently toured there? I used to live there but didn't work as apparently you needed a licence, although apparently this isn't the case any more if you are indy? Any information would be great, also I would have a student visa, which limits the hours I can work but I wondered if it excluded sex work?

Thanks

Subclass 500 student - i.e. going to study something in Australia - visa?

Some get unlimited work rights during term time, others don't. Annoyingly, their immigration site doesn't make it clear what the limits are and how it's decided who gets what. Everyone on one gets unlimited work rights outside term times.

You want to see www.consumer.vic.gov.au/businesses/licensed-businesses/sex-work-service-providers/licensing/apply-for-a-licence and in particular the 'small owner-operators' bits.

You don't need a licence, provided you're genuinely independent, but you do need to register.

Sorry to bump this thread again but have a question for those who have worked in Aus - is OWO the expected standard like it is in the UK, or harder to come across?

I didn't offer OWO and it didn't seem to be an issue.

Because sex work is generally higher pay for less hours, it shouldn't be an issue. Last time I was in Aus I was on the student visa & I worked as a stripper & I was fine.

Which state did you live in LaPetiteMort? I know Sydney/NSW is a bit more relaxed, but girls I've known who toured (years ago) all avoided Melbourne/VIC as the rules were more stringent, but that is where I would be studying.

Yeah I think NSW is the only state where OWO is legal. You might find if you are charging higher rates it will be expected.

Paris did you apply for a working visa or went on a tourist 3 months visa?

Lol and the exchange rate dollars to pounds is shit now way less than when I used to go

The longer you go the better it is money wise as it becomes cheaper
One month you might break even maybe more if your lucky

At a rough guess Your looking at around ?1500 a week min cost when you factor in flights / advertising , internal flights , accommodation for a month.  as your flight will take up a good chunk
Yes you can get flight for ?500 but I think I generalky paid around the ?700 mark
Advertising ?100-?150 a week
More if you do newspapers
Accommodation depending on where you stay can be hideous. ?150 -?200 a night for a travelodg in Perth
Winter is more expensive
Avoid school holidays
I found it to be the safest place I have ever worked
Wouldn't go back because it's to far ,
I was interrogated by customs and realistically you need to go for a few months and hike I can do a month 3 months is to long

You can escort legally if your on a working / holiday visa
You can't if your on a tourist visa ( 3 months )

I did Perth

I thought the working holiday visa was for a year and not 3 months
the 3 months one is just the tourist visa

Hi

I'm interested in Australia. I'd be going on a working holiday visa 3 months stay. If I buy a mobile phone there, must I show my passport or other ID. I dont want to.

advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks
Elaine

Also I believe only 18 to 30s can get working visa.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Only 18 to 30 year olds can get a working visa for a year then can extend it to two years, apart from that you can get work rights on a student visa and work a certain amount of hours in term time and then more out of term time.
