I didn't want to hijack Evie's thread- but this is also on the subject of clients with STIs....
I saw a man recently who I have seen twice before- he has a rather unique shaped penis which he is very conscious of, and I have always been nonchelant about to put him at ease as it's our job, right?! This time, I initially thought he was just unclean.... but I had a few peeks and decided he definitely didn't smell or indeed look too healthy. However, nothing I immediately recognised as an easily to pinpoint STI symptom..... BUT, I eventually decided that he was more than just in need of a good wash and needed to get down to his GP..... I have googled it like mad and found no STI it could have been, but still, I am SO grossed out.
So, basically, I didn't touch it directly, and eventually put a hot flannel over it and got him off from that without having to touch him at all- and threw away/boil washed everything after he had gone, but I really didn't know if I should say something!!!!!! What could I say "I think you have an infection and I am NOT TOUCHING THAT"

I KNOW you are all screaming YES OF COURSE at this point- BUT he is elderly and very VERY shy and sexually inexperienced, and obviously conscious of his weird shaped cock as it is..... I weighed up the situation and thought saying something would leave him impotent for life through scarring him mentally.
It was a tricky situation because of this, I thought booking into my next GUM appointment early (like TOMORROW) and just NOT touching him directly (and cleaning like a freak when he left) would have to suffice for the time being. Any previous experience in this area would be appreciated. Or you could all just annihilate me for being so cruel and not helping him/gross for letting him even stay/cowardly for not saying anything. I am ready for it
