Newbie starting soon
« on: 06 September 2024, 03:26:20 pm »
Hello

I am planning to start working as an escort in the next few weeks. Since I have not done this before I am being very careful. I have a couple of questions.

1) I plan on joining an agency. Should I give them my real name? I was going to give them a fake name because if I changed my mind later about escorting, they could use my information to blackmail me

2) Because I am a complete newbie and do not want to use my home address for in-call, I thought I would answer one of the ads on red-life.co.uk. Some of the ads say you can work as an escort from a flat in London. I am worried about the kind of people they will be though, and whether they the ads are fake. I don't want to end up in dangerous situation even before I've started! Has anybody had any experience answering these ads?

Don't tell an agency pimp your legal name. If they want to see ID that proves your age you can cover up everything but the photo and your date of birth :)

The site you mention looks dubious and not like any UK site. Most of the ads seem to be for Switzerland.

Hey, thanks for the reply. There are 2161 UK jobs on there though. I was going to reply to this one:

lovespirit, I've edited your post - please don't post links on the forum.

I don't know why you're so dead set on the above site; I've never heard of it in over twenty years of working and I've never seen it mentioned here either so it's certainly not playing any sort of major part in the development of UK prostitution. Sex work isn't a 'job', you will be self employed :)

If you want to hire an agency for whatever reason, why not just contact one directly? The majority of us here work independently and organise our own incall premises whether that means flats or hotels, but there will be parlours/brothels near you too if you look, and they can be good places to get started even if the cut of your earnings is higher.

I am going to repeat what others have said, and like them, I've been doing this work for DECADES.

Do not apply for a "job". As a sex worker, you are self-employed and in control of your own work.
Agencies are PIMPs (ie criminals) and not to be trusted and are best avoided.

If you don't have a place to offer incalls AND you have never done this before then go work in some BROTHELS AKA massage parlours - be friendly with all the women who work there and soak up all their stories.
Mostly they will give you good advice.

Trust 0% of the men - MOST (but not all) of the men involved in running agencies and brothels talk absolute SHITE and listening to their advise will not keep you safe or help you earn money.

A tiny % of the men are OK, but you won't know straight off.

The aim is to Learn the ropes from women who do the job and set yourself up completely independently.

be independent and work from hotels or rented apartments on holiday rental sites. like i do although i've also work from home in the past. i just don't have a place at the moment so im just touring 80% of the time. i don't at all recommend working from agency flats unless you don't mind them keeping 50-60% of your earnings, its robbery
why have cotton when you can have silk???

Sorry about the link - I didn't realise I couldn't post them. Been away for a few days, so only had a chance to reply now.

Thanks so much everyone who has given me advice. I will take it all on board. Thanks again.
