I've just been having a look at this
escort agency jobs. They look pretty suspect themselves:
Apparently: "Escort Agency Jobs was set-up in 2009 by industry insiders to combat the daily reports of fake agencies engaged in dodgy practices to scam naive newcomers looking to get into the escort business. We want to help those seeking escort agency jobs to find legitimate escort work vacancies without being conned. This will be done by using our industry knowledge & publishing your experiences and reviews on escort agencies. Information on legitimate escort agencies is available by sending us your details which can then be forwarded on to them."Which industry insiders? Seems a bit odd to me. They are also supposedly working for 'legitimate' agencies to recruit escorts, so any advice given is not likely to be entirely unbiased, which becomes more worrying when you read some of the stuff below.
This is purportedly a site proposing to do basically what we all do here and on the main part of SAAFE - advise escorts, but the advice IMO is dodgy to say the least. A few snippets from the site:
'It?s a fact of life that generally speaking escorts are not the most stable and reliable species on the planet.' Is it?
'Essentially the registration fee serves a dual purpose, it can help weed out those that are not really serious about the job and it can cover an agencies losses if an escort thinks she wants the job but changes her mind at the last minute for whatever reason.' There's more of the same too
here.
'If you can?t afford or don?t want to pay the escort agency registration fee, you could offer to ?pay in kind? which could have it?s benefits for both parties but this can be an emotive issue which many people get overly moralistic and frankly quite hypocritical about...' Ah, so expecting an agent to behave with decorum, professionalism and courtesy makes you a hypocrite. Don't forget they are recruiting for agencies as well as dishing out advice like this.
'Read what the scam agencies and their people are saying about Escort Agency Jobs website and our response! They are posting fake reviews, comments and lies to try and hinder the work we are doing but we are happy to publish and expose their lies!' As the site is to all intents and purposes unheard of and isn't even finished yet, I find this extremely hard to believe.
'If you are an independent escort then you so long as you do not advertise direct services you have every right to call yourself an escort. Should you choose to advertise sexual services (whether or not these are couched in jargon ie OWO, CIM, etc) for a moneary gain then to all intents and purposes you would then be called a prostitute.
Escorts provide a time and companionship service only and whilst many people will dispute that, the second you agree to provide any sexual service and receive money for this then you will be transferring to prostitution.' Complete and total bollocks.
I've sent them an email
. Will post any response I get.
