There isn't much of a market for 'companionship' escorting - the vast majority of escort bookings involve being sexual. While that's legal for the escorts, some non-scam agencies pretend otherwise as an attempt to get around the law against 'controlling prostitution for gain', but a) they know what the reality is and b) it wouldn't save them if the police decided to go after them.
A book I like suggests trying picking up an average man in a bar, and going off to have casual sex with him. If you couldn't do that without feeling bad, being sexual with clients probably really isn't for you.
Look at 'promotions' work (looking pretty while handing out free samples or being draped over a car sort of thing). Again, don't pay any 'agency' a penny before you have been paid for any work.
