adjusting my rates
« on: 18 August 2014, 01:04:00 pm »
Here's a question.
I try to get longer bookings. Not a lot, I'm happy with a few, that's it.

I mainly use aw for that, hopefully the website very very soon. However I've done a sort of research yesterday and have been wondering about the following.

I charge a standard rate for an escort who freshly started. I get emails/booking requests ?tc on aw so I can access their feedback as well. That's how I noticed that clients who book me mostly booked (last month or so) more experienced ladies with a profile similar to mine. And those ladies charge more than I do, I mean much much more.

So I've been wondering... Shouldn't I just try and raise my rate? I know, it's cheeky but very tempting...

Why is it cheeky to raise your rates? It's your business what you charge.

I meant cheeky was me comparing myself to WG who obviously have much more experience.
And I'd need to get the website started first and better pictures, but that should be in a few days anyway.

I'm not sure how much time other girls devote to organise longer bookings. My requests are mostly from clients coming to London on business, planning well in advance and I noticed it takes a bit of time to actually stay in touch/answer their emails etc. It's rarely one email then booked, it's more email/phone conversation then booking and then them just emailing from time to time with questions related to my profile.

Hi Charlotte,

Currently having the same dilemma. No one in my area charges more than me (but those who charge the same offer more services!) but I turn down about 60% of enquiries and have been told a couple of times I could charge more.

I'm thinking of just adding a little on at first (?20 for the first hour) and seeing how I go.

If you're going up up up, it may be worth honouring your current price with regulars, if (and only if) you're comfortable with that. My main fear is losing the regulars that I really enjoy!

Yes, regulars would of course stay the same.

Well, I already had the same comment 3 times, guys saying I should charge more. I think when it comes to the kind of guys I target 20 quid isn't an obstacle.

I'll get things organised first and then will give it a go. Oh, last week there was that thread about being "too cheap" I think.

Hi Charlotte, why not charge what everybody else in your area charges? Some clients will consider it a bonus that you're not so experienced, rather than a problem. I see no commercial reason why you should be cheaper than everybody else - you don't have to compete on price if you look nice and provide a decent service.
I hope the guy who keeps telling you to charge more actually puts his money where his mouth is, and pays you more.

Oh, I don't charge less. I charge the standard rate for my area/experience. I was actually thinking about charging more.

If you can justify your reasons for charging more for the same, then give it a try.  If it goes tits up you will know you were wrong as client base may decrease.  If it works, you're a winner.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

Yes, I'll wait a week or so and will definitely give it a try! If I get in trouble I can always go back to my original rates.
