Hi! newbie here!
« on: 09 February 2013, 04:08:52 am »
HI! my name is india. I am 17 years old. i was born and raised in san diego but recently moved to a small town in massachusetts because of family issues.
escorting has always seemed like a logical option for myself. I am comfortable with my body and sexuality. i am planning on moving back out to san diego/ los angeles when i graduate and i hope to live in hollywood. this is a dream for me.
i was hoping to gain some insight to the escort world from people who have experienced it. what to expect, things to look at for, expected monetary gain, etc.
please be aware, i am fully aware of what this entails. I have felt like this would be the best option for me and I have mulled this over for a long time.

I am not sure whereyou are but over here I am pretty sure you have to be 18 to be an escort.  Check out the law for the state you are in before you jump into it.
Truth is far more important than what one wants to hear. With truth there is no us and them or colour or religion there is just fact

Prostitution and punting are illegal in both Massachusetts and California, although the charges levied against the punter would probably be different as the OP is legally a minor.

India, as much as I like my job, I cannot for one minute understand why a seventeen year old girl would think that being a prostitute was her 'dream', even more so in a country where you are breaking the law just by operating. It's great to work for yourself and when you're busy it pays well, but there are many good reasons not to do it and I would be interested to know what you perceive it to be like as I suspect the reality would be very, very different.

Given your age, this forum isn't really an appropriate place for you to post. It's a public board and by all means have a good read through both here and the main site, but you have a long time yet to think about this stuff and nobody here is going to encourage you until you're at least of age and appear to have some idea of what the day to day job actually involves. One thing it is not is a license to lie on your back and watch $100 bills rain down from the sky - it is tough, tiring, can be dangerous (especially in a country where you can't easily report wrongdoing to the police) and like any self employment, not a decision to be taken lightly.
