about outcalls
« on: 07 August 2015, 04:35:03 pm »
I receive offers for outcalls outside London, even overnight which would be totally worth ...

Thing is when it's inside London I can ask a client to book a prepaid cab for me, this will scan the serious from the fake and I'm not taking any risks wasting time and money.
I can't do that with train tickets, because in England to pick up a ticket bought online you get asked to show the credit card used for payment.
Is there a solution for this?

I saw a girl using paypal for deposits
I don't understand paypal ... once I did a camshow and the client took his money back, I got really upset

Thanks girls

No, don't use PayPal :).

Have you tried doing a search for 'deposits'? There's no shortage of threads about this already.

NEVER MIND

I was going to say have him buy the tickets for you and collect at the station but you need the credit card you paid with to do that.

To be fair, if you're doing proper outcall checks you shouldn't be getting 'fakes'. It won't stop people buggering you about completely, but it definitely cuts down on the chances of it.

For a distance booking that will make you out of pocket before it happens though, definitely a deposit.

No, I think what Amy means is address proof and not just that the address exists, that the client is there.

There are also other ways to accept deposits, a quick search for that word should yield good results.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant - assuming by 'rated' you mean Adultwork, what some random tart said about him just to make sure she got a positive for herself is neither here nor there, and you might as well ask the dog. Ditto the 'verifying'.

There's no substitute for proper checks; even assuming that the feedback was useful, you need to know the punter is in the place he's told you he is and AW can't help you with that. You need to be calling the hotel and being put through to the room before you set off then if he's not there, you've saved yourself a wild goose chase :).

Indeed lots of guys back off if you ask for a deposit (as some girls do not turn up etc), so the best is, if you chose to take a booking outside your area is to call the hotel (after you get his details) and see if indeed is booked there, whether he checked in or not.  For outcalls to his home you can check it via 192.com (if his details are there - some chose to be ex-directory).

so I only do outcalls for which I ask for prepaid cab to make sure the client is serious, if he's in a hotel I can call the room number to confirm he's there and take transport but lately receptionists are asking for the guest's full name before connecting me to the room and I feel the clients aren't loving sharing full name.
I'm not either lol
so I get offers to do outcalls outside London which I would if I had guarantee ... but when I bought train tickets online they ask to show the credit card used to purchase it which I won't have because I didn't buy it, another option would be to receive a deposit, is that possible on AW (note: I'm an IT retard), secondly if I were to ask them to paypal me would they know my full name?

Thanks to all
Trying to make this work but I have too many restrictions ... I dont show face, only do outcalls ...

Paypal is reversable and if they find out you are offering adult services they could freeze your account.

Amazon vouchers are anonymous so long as you don't use the  'thank you' note when you add it to your account.

I have a bank account which can receive transfers or cash, and doesn't require an account name - some transfer forms do require a name, which can be anything.

Regards names unless it's someone I've seen several times I always ask for the name the room is booked in and booking proof,  just so I can at least give a name if stopped on the way to their room - never happened yet, but it is not beyond the realms of possibilty and makes me feel confident.

I've recently had my first ever 'not in the room' call, on the phone he sounded perfect, had read my profile, we discussed does and don'ts. He even gave me his real name. I rang the hotel, no Mr Such and Such in room 81 (not real room number). I rang his mobile which was 2 minutes after we'd spoken in case of mix up (he'd also told me he'd send a deposit in the next 30 minutes), his phone was permanently off and of course the deposit didn't arrive.

If I didn't have those steps in place I'd have spent 1 hour getting ready, followed by a 35 minute drive, to knock on the door of an unsuspecting guest.

If someone can't give me the name the room is booked in (a regular who's real name I know, uses a psuedonym for hotel bookings), then I'm not going.

Regarding picking up tickets paid for with another credit card: at least in regards to tickets purchased via TheTrainline, I am able to collect them from the machine even though I used a different card and once even though a friend had paid for them on her card. However, it may be down to the account they have with Trainline. Another way around this is to ask them to get the PDF version of the tickets and forward the pdf to you. But they must be sure to select the pdf option as there's no going back.

You don't actually you just need any credit card to authorise use of the machine. All you need to bring is the code to put in and your own card and then print tickets off.

oh really? thats lovely really ... because i feel bad asking for a deposit to make an outcall, specially not being verified on AW I feel they might think I'm a scammer ... if I request return ticket I feel confident on taking a train for outcall since I feel people wouldn't spend money just to waste my time ...
