A bit of advice please!
« on: 13 July 2009, 10:55:27 pm »
Hi I ve just joined today for some advice although I ve been reading the forum for a wile now and found it very helpful.

I have bid on an AW reverse booking in London (Im in Newcastle) we ve exchanged a few messages and I ve supplied a face pic as its a long booking.

He has offered to pay a deposit of my train fair - what is the best way to take this I was thinking maybe AW credits as I dont want to provide my address/paypal/bank account details.  Is this possible or is there another option?

Also he replied with a pic of him and his young daughter and while I accept many are married/have children I ve never had anyone send a pic with anyone else in it and it surprised me a little! Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance for your help.  Louise x

wow...that is a bit strange. I could see if you 2 met in person 1st, and after he cums he decides to show you that (guys tend to share their life story after they cum, I dont know why!) but it hasnt even gotten to that point.

Hi and welcome Louise.
I can't comment on Adultwork as I've never used the website. But as far as sending you a picture of himself and his daughter, it might actually show how genuine and unassuming he is, if not a little naive and thoughtless in sending a family photo. Men and women don't think the same when it comes to something as incongruous as that. They see nothing wrong with it, whilst (generally speaking) it's not really something a woman would do.

I've had bookings where a guy has sent pictures of himself and his wife/partner/girlfriend together either on holiday or at some social gathering. I've chastised them and said that it's an inappropriate thing to do, as they have no idea who I am. I could be a really nasty piece of work that does a bit of blackmailing on the side. This never occurs to them.

You say you've had a few exchanges with him, so he obviously felt comfy enough to send you such a picture. Maybe when you see him you can gently tell him that sending family photos isn't really the appropriate thing to do.

The problem with AW credits is that if you want the money, they take a hefty cut. If you want to spend them on the site, fine.

If you can't keep off Amazon, you can have a gift 'voucher' emailed to you. 'Other voucher schemes exist'.

It's a pity the ticket machines that let you pick up pre-booked tickets want the card used to book them really.

if not a little naive and thoughtless in sending a family photo.

There are some scam sites which do let you see details of the victims. Some men who want to be straight male escorts really do post family photos on their profiles. Argh.

'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Guys really don't think about it in advance. They say they'll send one in exchange. How do we know it's them?and they us anyway!

There you go, thoughtless.

I don't know why some guys see the need to send pictures of themselves anyway. I provide a service no matter what you look like. As for us, I'd hope we're professional enough to use pictures of ourselves instead of using others'. It's a why a guy books you after all; based on your photographs.

I am going to pm you Louise as I had a potential booking which turned out to be a timewaster and he sent me a pic of himself with a young girl too............

He incidentally wanted to get my real name (for the flight booking apparently) which I declined and said I would buy the ticket myself .......... that soon put a stop to any further communicaton from him.

As for anyone booking me, whether it's one hour or an overnight - no one gets a face pic.  There are some guys out there that just want to get your details, your pic etc - it's what they get off on.  Don't fall for it.

A sign of doom. Anybody that asks for more pics than is already on your website is more than likely a timewaster. Shame.

If you use a pay as you go phone you could also ask for the money in form of a phone top up voucher, I have done this before and find the fact that within minutes of receiving the code I know if the guy is sincere.
