I've recently applied to three agencies and have heard nothing. I feel a bit snubbed!

I applied to quite a few! The first one that got back to me offered to call me to have a chat, and I ended up working for them! Only two others replied, a good few days leter, so I didnt bother with them. Also, I think some dont reply unless you provide a photo, and some prefer you ringing up, so it might be worth doing that!

Always call first to confirm that they actually exist.  The last thing you want is to have an application floating around in cyberspace.  Agencies shut down all the time.  The first three I called had voice messages saying they had shut down.  If they do exist, this gives you an opportunity to get a first taste of what sort of people they are.

Went to meet one agency's manager and freaked myself out big time. There were a couple of girls taking coke  :-[
I don't want anything to do with anything like that. And plus they wanted to take 40%.
I feel bad about saying no though because the manager was really enthusiastic about how well I would be. Probably because I'm not a bloody coke head.  :-\

Don;t feel bad about saying no! If you went for a job as say, a secretary and the manger was doing lines at his desk I doubt you'd wanna work for them either! I'm sure you'll find a decent one :)

Thanks  :-\ I guess I couldnt expect to find something good the first time. He even said that some of the girls smoke crack. Who wants to book that??  ???

Am in contact with another agency who seem a lot more professional, so fingers crossed!

Good luck, hope it all works out. I had the same experience, the first agency just screamed "wh*** house' I rcentlu found another place that seems nice, i say seems because it still early days. They are very pricy with their clients, the house takes 30% for incalls and 5% percent for outcalls. Its clean and upmarket.

I' kinda nervos about my first client though
