17 year old clients wanting bookings

Yesterday I had someone text for a booking who then admitted to only being 17. I told him no. He then insisted keeping it between ourselves, to which I replied: "Adultwork is an adult site & you aren't an adult".

Where do we legally stand should we unknowingly accept a booking from a 17 year old? He did say it was legal, which of course is true, but can this land us in any bother?

It's legal for him to have sex with you.

I find supposed 17 year olds quite quickly start to reduce their age, and yes I'd be reinforcing the adultsite thing - I had someone try chatting to me on MSN who claimed he was 14.........I told him to clear off!

Yeah, thats another worry really....was he really 17? I wouldn't knowingly see someone of that age, but I do worry incase I ever do. It just seems morally wrong too

i think if i suspected that someone was under 18 id want proof they were at least 18 as im old enough to be their mother i just couldn't see anyone under that my eldest child is 23 so i really couldn't even if it not actually illegal

I only see older gents - usually in their 50s and would be reluctant to take a booking from anyone under 30 BUT that is just MY preference.

Because of my day job and the fact I have a teenage son, I wouldn't touch anyone under 21. I mean, they ID you for fags and alcohol if you look under 21 and the thought of getting intimate with someone that age is just NOT my thing.

It's not illegal though as the age of consent is 16.

Time to crack open the piggy bank  ;D

I think I read somewhere that civvie sex is 16+ but escorting is 18+? Or is that just providers? Think it's dodgy ground :S I wouldn't! It's called Adult Work for a reason! Considering they can't even technically watch porn (though they all do) I doubt they can pay for sex...

I dont see guys usually under a certain age but if someone turns up looking too young for my comfort I ask for ID. I just need to check their birthdate and so far no one has refused and luckily no one has been under 18. I did get a shock with one guy years ago. He showed me his ID and he was in his 30's. He looked about 16, wide eyed, smooth as a babes bum skin on his face etc. It was only when we were laying there afterwards that I noticed the  silver grey hair around his temples. The lamp was pretty dim to be fair. We had a nice conversation about how much out teenagers drive us mad sometimes which was surreal. He said he gets asked for ID everywhere he goes and always has.

Interesting, but this is about the age of the client, not the service provider. Anyone have any idea? I'd have thought that since they can't go to a strip club, buy porn or go to an 18 movie, they can't buy sex... but then sometimes the law is an ass...

Interestingly enough it is illegal for anyone under the age of 16 to participate in sexual activity.

As far as I know it is only illegal to pay someone under 18 for sex. Clients of 16 and 17 aren't very common but it's certainly wise to check their age if your age limit is that low. You could get into serious trouble having sex with anyone prior to their 16th birthday, and I think they would come down particularly hard on a prostitute that did it and was discovered.

Just had one of those inquiries. Now the funny thing is, even hanging around with prostitutes if you're under the age of 18 falls under the child neglect act and can cause trouble to the parents. Lol.

It isn't. The underage person taking the payment isn't breaking any law, only the person paying them.
