hi guys,

well i had a photo shoot done at my house last morning,the man who done them i remember from years ago so i was very happy for him to do them,paid a small deposit and we agreed that when the photos were sent to me i would pay the full amount when i got them,
He said it would be a few days before i heard from him and i was fine with this but its now been a week and i havent got the photos yet and only got 1 e-mail back from him,
he sent the e-mail on friday said he is having family problems etc and was going to look at them that afternoon,since then i have heard nothing??
i dont have a number for him to call onylt the e-mail and im getting very worried about what happeneing?
should i be worried?
i understand about his family etc but just getting very worried as to why i have not heard how long they are going to take?
no sure what to do any advice would be great as i am starting to worry as to where they are?

I think you're worrying too much. Things really do come up (and sometimes people get flakey and make excuses), but I doubt he has any better use for your pictures than giving them to you and getting paid.

Are you worried because he has pictures with your identifying features?

well i have had 1 e-mail from him last week saying he was having family problems etc and nothing since!!
he did take one pic of me showing my face so thats why im worried,
havent heard anything back from him since so not sure what i can do?

Arrg Joey. The fact that people run into problems sometimes, which we're all aware of, doesn't make it incorrect to say that you shouldn't panic after a week.

Hazel, I think all you can do is keep asking. You could say that you understand if he doesn't have the time or energy to edit the photos at the moment and ask that he sends you the unedited versions. Then you or someone else would have to touch them up.

The thing is, I asked if you're worried about him having face photos because I think you've got the wrong idea about how digital photos work. Sorry to have to tell you, but blurring out your face and sending you the pictures doesn't stop him from having your face photo on his computer. He'd have to deliberately save over or delete the original. If you're worried about people having these photos you can't let them put them on their computer in the first place. This means either using your own camera, or downloading the pictures at the end of the photoshoot and watching him wipe them from his camera.
