ICRSE has developed an innovative and interactive platform to support the exchange of knowledge on Sex work, HIV and Human Rights. On this platform, sex workers will be able to follow e-courses, discuss with their peers and share resources to build a stronger sex workers' rights movement! ICRSE is inviting sex workers working or living in Europe and Central Asia to take part in the our first online training on Sex Work, HIV and Human Rights!. The training will take place between the 27th of July and 1st of September and can be followed at your own pace.
 
Since the beginning of the HIV epidemic in the 1980s, sex workers have been among the populations most affected by HIV. In many of the European and Central Asian countries, HIV prevalence among sex workers of all genders is reported to be considerably higher than in the general population, despite their significant involvement in HIV-protective behaviours.
 
Sex workers? vulnerability to HIV infection results from a range of factors, including not only the type of work in which sex workers engage but foremost criminalisation of sex work and other forms of legal oppression faced by sex workers, discrimination, violence, social marginalisation and other human rights violations. Moreover, in many contexts sex workers have limited access to affordable, quality healthcare services, reliable education on occupational health and safety, and evidence-based HIV prevention programmes tailored to their needs and expectations.
 
The International Committee on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe has developed this online training in order to adequately address health needs and concerns of sex workers in the European region, provide them with knowledge on HIV, STIs and other health concerns, identify barriers which compromise to sex workers? health and safety and contribute to their vulnerability to HIV, and strategies in challenging these barriers.
 
ICRSE aims to create a safe and welcoming environment where sex workers can learn and develop their knowledge on health, hiv and human rights. If you are a sex worker based in Europe and Central Asia, please email us to register.

Please note this training is in English.
