Hi all,
I am contacting from a television production company called Darlow Smithson Productions (http://www.dsp.tv/). We?re currently making a programme for BBC One called ?Ill Gotten Gains? which is a documentary series about the proceeds of crime act. Up to date we?ve been working with various police forces to cover retrospective proceeds of crime cases with interviews with the officers. We aim to look at how seizing criminal?s goods, and selling them on at auctions can lead to a positive outcome where the money is divided up and distributed to good causes within the local area.
One of the proceeds of crime cases that we are looking at is a suspect that has been convicted for running a massage parlour called the Libra Club that was based in Birmingham. Please read more about this case in the following link [removed - do not post links on the forum]
For this case clients paid ?65 for 30 minutes with a sex worker who kept ?40 of the fee, the prosecution said. The club made at least ?25 from each transaction, as well as charging a ?10 entrance fee.
To tie in with the above case we are hoping to interview someone who is currently or in the past worked as a sex worker within a massage parlour.
I am completely aware that this can be a sensitive subject, and I can reassure you that our production team has past experience in handling subjects of a sensitive nature. We would offer the interviewee anonymity if they so wished, and the individual would share with us their experience of sex work and the experiences they have had.
The filming will take up to 1 hour in total and it would be a 3-4 minute item within the programme.
Please do let me know if you may be interested.
Thank you for your time,
Cat
