The Green party on sex work

Copied and pasted from their website:

Ending the Long-Term Stigmatisation of Sex Workers and Former Sex Workers
The Green Party calls for the ending of the classification of the offences of "Loitering or Soliciting for the Purpose of Prostitution" and "Brothelkeeping" as sexual offences. We recognise that the permanent retention of sexual offences on an individual's record, through the enhanced criminal records bureau check, can be a significant barrier to women and men who wish to leave sex work but are prevented from entering many jobs as a result of this record, and may also have severe and unwarranted consequences for family life.

I for one vote for this!

You'll notice that they're not saying the offences should be repealed, just talking about how they're classified.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Well it's a step in the right direction. It's the most lenient of all the parties.

I'd vote for them if I thought they stood a chance but going to have to be labour, can't take the risk of conservatives staying

This is one of the major mistakes people do: voting for the "lesser evil" - it's better not to vote at all than vote Labour.
I'm sorry, I'm trying to put any political agenda through - it's just my genuine opinion. Labours to me are nearily as bad as Tories

I understand what you mean, but I don't want to throw my vote away and i would personally rather have anyone in than Tories

I'd feel evil if I voted for ukip, did anyone watch that fictional documentary on them the other day, 100 days of ukip or something (i have an awful memory, so I've probably got the title wrong)

Well I've never voted before, I'm turning 25 and never had any interest in politics where as I seem to now be growing interest in it and wanting to vote. How can I moan if I don't vote. So need to do my research and vote this year. No doubt I will vote on the party that has more positives on our line of work, and also interested on who has the best stratergy to help people get back into work, with proper contracts, none of these silly 0 hour contract bullshit. and I'll happily vote the underdog. If everyone has the same attitude not to vote for who they want because "it won't make a difference", then that party will never get the chance. So I think voting for an underdog isn't a wasted vote.xox

Excellent! I voted Green some years ago and think I'll go back to them now.

Yes the tactical voting is a tough one though.

Bahahaha - we probably see most of them as clients and I bet they are the hard work ones who would be total hypocrites about escorting. Liberal they ain't! Urgh I don't even think I could do Nigel for money  :P

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

What scares me personally about UKip are their ties with christian evangelics...... To be as bad as Al Qaeda or ISIS, but worse: they're far closer :(

What scares me about UKIP is that under their rule I'd lose access to free health care which at this point as an EU immigrant is all I have left. As I've said on here before, I am Green all the way! I know my local Green candidate personally, must admit I'm not the biggest fan actually but show me a party that's perfect! However I do live in a constituency in which the voting is very marginal so I do worry if I'm giving the Tories an advantage by voting Green.... Haven't honestly made up my mind, even though I'm staunchly against tactical voting. Ugh, tbh I wish they made voting mandatory (and of course introduced a "none of the above" option).
