Another completely biased documentary I bet.

Tbh channel 4 sex docs are always a pile of shite but at least this lot are saying up front they'll pay for time for a change

Did you see the article in the Evening standard this evening too? I think it was from today about the call girl earning over ?20,000 a night.
I could have face-palmed through the whole thing o_0 she over glamoured it and sounded so up herself it was unbelievable. Just my opinion of course but goodness me, it was either the person who wrote the article or her but it didn't put her in a good light!!

No I dont read the papers.

Ah fair enough. If I was still able to work and get on with my daily activities and also do everything else I would consider doing a doc if my face was blurred and what not. As much as I have my face pic on AW I don't need it all over the T.V...

There is an interesting article in Tatler about up market shagging for cash. Up market their word not mine.
-
Yea its the same one they put in ES but it was a cut down version.

Even blurring my face and using a voice over I would still be worried about being recognised
-
I guess for me it is not so much a worry, I don't have anyone who will mind too much about what I do. But yea. It is a high risk and not worth it for having your day fucked about with and you will probably be portrayed wrong also. Twisting things and what not, I could see that happening.

HMRC might find it interesting though.

I wouldn't mind appearing in a programme like this with my face blurred if I knew it was going to portray the "reality" of the job, but let's face it, nobody wants to waste their time watching a doc about normal women who earn normal amounts of money and lead normal lives...
It's got to be either a train-wreck story (pimping, drugs etc.) or high class courtesan 'Belle de Jour'-esque bullshit. As Elton John very eloquently puts it: "it's sad, so sad, it's a sad sad situation" lol!
I watched a crime documentary (not directly related to prostitution, something about paedophile rings or similar) the other day, and could feel my piss boil when a female police officer made a self-righteous speech about how "a woman doesn't just wake up one day and decide to be a prostitute", because ultimately most sex workers have fallen victim to sexual abuse in their childhood, and as a result their whole lives have been wrecked, so they (we) see no other option, but to perpetuate and facilitate the abuse of themselves even further. I actually in the heat of that moment posted a comment, but - surprise, surprise! - it was never allowed to appear there!
-
I woke up one day and decided to be a prostitute. ;D
-
I think I might make an independent documentary featuring myself and post it on youtube :D And the title would be exactly that! "I woke up one day and decided to become a prostitute". I can totally see it becoming an online sensation haha!

Haha love this :) "The life of an untrafficed, undrugged, unpimped, average priced prossie" would be another good name

With any photos / video that you appear in, you should always consider what happens to the original footage that was not blurred out and a voice over used. Years later that could appear anywhere unedited.

Exactly which is why I could never do this and take all my own pics.

I do think you said this tongue in cheek HHJJ but that is exactly what happened to me. Not a lot of investigating and I have been very very lucky in that department. Eight years later I am still here. I think with me being in my senior years has helped but I could just as easily have fallen on my face.
Ive never been a plan plan plan person but I wouldn't suggest that to younger people as the consequences could be dire, but it worked for me. I didn't even find SAAFE for the first four or five years. :o :(

I read this article about the Channel 4 programme "benefit street" and thought it was useful to think of the possible escort doc in the same way.
http://www. independent.co.uk/voices/comment/benefits-street-a-healthy-media-would-stand-up-to-the-powerful-and-wealthy-ours-targets-the-poor-and-voiceless-9046773.html
I would never consider it, it just screams sensationalist disaster to me.
