MOD cracks down on personnel who buy sex abroad

Forces News

UK military personnel will be kicked out of the Armed Forces for paying for sex in other countries as part of a crackdown on unacceptable behaviour in the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) has announced.

Two more policies and a new strategy will see a "zero tolerance" approach to sexual activity where there is "an imbalance of power", the MOD said.

The moves aim to tackle "poor behaviours" in the Armed Forces.

Utter nonsense. The minister in question is using trafficking and probably Oxfam scandals in Haiti as an excuse, and they are only listening to tradwife swerf's. I also think the split between not banning use of sex workers by serving personnel within the UK while banning when abroad is probably because this policy wouldn't get past the human rights lawyers or sex worker lobby groups so easily.

Agree with you. If they had a policy of just not breaking any law in other countries, so service personnel were forbidden from buying sex in countries where that is illegal, I would understand. But this seems very backwards and purely intended to stigmatise those who choose to patronise sex workers.
