Considering voting UKIP because they wont go for this criminalization of clients law - the Swedish model.

The other parties seem to be considering it, especially Labour.

Yes I know all the allegations of racist tweets. But UKIP ploicy is not about ending immigration, but ending uncontrolled immigration.

Should sex workers consider parties attitudes to the Swedish model before voting?

It doesn't make it worth it for me over other factors, such as taking us out of the European human rights act if I remember correctly, but I also don't plan on working for longer than the next year

After many years going to by-elections in other places, I am now finally living somewhere where there's going to be one... and the UKIP candidate is a) top of their local list for the Euro elections and thus quite likely to spend a lot of time there to qualify for the larger allowances, and b) thinks that homophobia does not exist.

As has been said, it's a good idea to look at the whole package.

As well as Belinda Brooks-Gordon , I can't remember if the LibDems still have someone who has done porn as a candidate.

I'm voting green party as they want to decrim sex work. I think one of there members wants to debate the sweidish model but everything should be up for debate really thats what politics are about.

I wouldn't vote ukip unless you agreed with a lot of the other policies also Voting on the strength on one policy does not always bode well you can just ask all the students who voted lib dem.

The MEPs in my part of the world are all (unfortunately) UKIP. I wrote to them all about the criminalisation of clients debate and did not receive any reply, or even a standard acknowledgement that I wrote, from any of them.

I still have no idea who to vote for though. The parties who I agree with the bulk of their mandate all appear to support criminalisation. The green party do make much more sense on the issue but there is so much non-sex work related stuff that I don't agree with them on. This is a real difficult one this year!

I know of a Labour MEP candidate in the northwest who has been more than willing to listen and be educated on this matter. She's gone out of her way to speak to others and find out the truth. Many of the MPs and MEPs simply do not get to speak to sex workers, and remain ignorant. The response of this candidate has restored my faith in her party so please do not simply 'assume' anything.

except that immigration into the UK isn't 'uncontrolled' and if immigration rates reduced for any reason UK would be in a lot of trouble. If your MP supports the Swedish Model, I recommend writing to them and asking them to contact escorts on any escort directory and try to find one who agrees with legislation criminalising clients. They won't be able to find one, therefore the legislation isn't wanted by the majority of people it's supposed to be protecting.

The free movement of persons is a fundamental right guaranteed to European Union (EU) citizens by the Treaties.

As for voting Labour. With Harriet Harman, Diane Abbot, and Gavin Shuker MP for Luton South who is also an evangelical Christian.

My experience of Christians is not the stereotypical reaction you'd typically expect, and has generally been very positive.

Decrim is supposed to be lib dem policy, but the only MEP they have left is a right horror bag and hates sex workers. I voted UkIP for the first time, but agree they have been too quiet on this issue. That does worry me.
