I have always believed it is a big NO for agencies to discuss what the sps will do but for independents we can say whatever we want either on our profiles or over the phone.

Agents can not openly promote sexual services as if they do they risk being closed down.

Sorry I do  not have "proper knowledge" but then again I do not discuss my services on the phone anyway, might be a wanker on the line and he is not getting a free boost to his day from me!

As long as you are the person who is offering the services and discussing it on phone, its perfectly fine. To arrange for someone else would be illegal i think, phone conversation between clients and receptionist, maid, agent, pimp etc.

It's a bit like we know it's illegal to share or work together, using the same premises with another escort.  In reality, people do all the time (if not everybody) and rented flats are shared by several escorts and these are advertised freely. Brothels are tolerated in some areas and some of those establishments who remain active are legit businesses that pay their tax and the police can't do anything.  As you say, as in NE.  I have seen posts stating in NE, there is NO brothels but "quite a few agencies running like brothels". It somewhat makes me laugh.  Does it mean that agencies do not have any premises but send escorts to hotels and private homes?   Whatever it is, these things go on if it's illegal or not.    Whoever told you, it's illegal to discuss services, she must have led a very sheltered life.   Brothel madams discuss extremely efficiently to their customers.

No, it's not illegal any more than selling, buying or advertising the sale of sex, assuming you're not in Northern Ireland (where selling is legal but buying is not, and I'm less clear on the advertising).

You can't solicit in a public place under the Street Offences Act 1959 (which would include saying anything in a public street or thoroughfare that could be perceived as 'I will have sex with you for money'), but neither the telephone nor the internet are a public place .
