Hello! I am a female reporter who works for the BBC. I would like to speak to anyone who does 'camming' or 'webcamming' for a living/ or as a way to earn some extra money. They need to be based in the East and willing to speak on camera. It's to educate and inform (particularly young females) who are not sure what this is, or why people do it. I know a lot of young women do this whilst at university to pay for fees, but they shouldn't feel alone. The footage will be used on Facebook and Instagram for the likes of BBC Three and BBC look East.
You can either get in touch with me on here, or email me at [removed]. The interview would take no more than an hour, and can take place at a time that suits you best via Skype or in person. I take a non-judgmental approach and will treat everything you say to me confidentially. If you have any questions do get in contact.
This could help other women across the world understand what 'camming' is all about....

We'll have some credentials please, starting with your name and that of your production company as well as a proper email address - a throwaway hotmail one does nothing to prove that you are who you say you are.
You might also want to make it clear what you're offering since when the people you're aiming this at sit in front of camera they charge by the minute, just like the rest of us. I assume you're not expecting them to forego this so they can sit in front of your camera for nothing?
Oh and webcammng is a real word and a legitimate form of sex work. It doesn't require inverted commas.

No, you don't have to 'protect yourself' from anything if this is indeed a legitimate BBC project - nobody else has had to. Why would you?
If you expect people here to have anything to do with you you're going to make it clear who you are. We're not going to encourage potentially vulnerable people to contact anonymous internet randoms who claim to be making a TV programme and need to film them talking about their sex work, and if you won't identify yourself to members I'll ban you and remove your thread.
I can't help you because I don't do webcamming. I'm a prostitute.

If I use my BBC email everyone will know my first and last name - I see no-one on here using their real first and last name.
I can totally understand your uncertainty, but I can assure you I use my other email address on here for first initial contact..

I can totally understand your uncertainty, but I can assure you I use my other email address on here for first initial contact..
Nobody here uses their legal first and last name while they're working, either - presumably you do? My full work contact address and phone number are on my website though, and anybody can see them.
You haven't given us any good reason why you won't tell us who you are, and since you're obviously not prepared to cooperate, I think that's enough from you. Don't let the door hit you on the arse, etc.

Isn't that the point of you putting that email address on here. Shows a) your genuine b) you actually work for BBC and not some sad twat living at home with his mom sat in his bedroom wanking off in the hope a woman may actually converse with him!

The project would also have told you that in order to be taken seriously by sex workers, who deal with countless amounts of shitty emails from would be models/photographers/SEO experts/website designers/porn companies/fucking sous chefs (why not? Everyone else thinks they can offer something of use), if you are indeed a representative of the BBC, operating on BBC business, then you would use your BBC details.
You won't be the first BBC documentary on sex work, and you won't be the last. I wouldn't hide your blushes just yet. And I sincerely doubt the BBC gives a toss either.
