Title: AVA to consult with sex workers in Brighton
Post by: catlady85 on 07 June 2018, 09:33:42 am
Hey,

The AVAproject have been asked to support consultation on Brighton and Hove City Council and East Sussex City Council Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy (VAWG)

In The VAWG strategy, sex work is considered inherently violent.

The VAWG Strategy influences decisions that may impact on sex worker safety such as policing and service provision and responses in relation to sexual violence, modern slavery, sexual exploitation etc.  http://www.safeinthecity.info/sitc-document/brighton-hove-vawg-strategy-12-17 …

The updated version of this will include future strategies around violence, sexual and and domestic abuse and includes important issues around the local sex industry.  Sex workers living and/or working in East Sussex, have your voices heard!

You are invited to be part of a group or one to one discussion.
