This board has got a bit confusing, because there are two (or three) somewhat different things that a "buddy" can be.

In Penny's Buddy Scheme, a buddy is a sort of mentor for new escorts, providing one-to-one support and advice based on their own knowledge and experience.

Alternatively, s/he can be someone who fills a security role. When going on an outcall (and possibly for incalls too) it's advisable to always make sure someone knows where you are, who you're with, and when you should be back in contact. Some escorts use their partners or friends for this, and some have a reciprocal arrangement with someone else in the industry.

The second kind of buddying is what this board was set up to facilitate, and those of us who were willing to act as a security call posted our details. However, since Penny sometimes gets behind with her Buddy Scheme work, people have started posting here in the hope of finding mentors and friends, and the initial threads regarding security have been buried. Since security is often an immediate need, I want to resurrect that function.

So, please post in this thread if you're willing to be a security buddy for someone. Say when you're available, and whether you're looking for a reciprocal arrangement and/or willing to do one-off calls for people who don't have someone else available at the time. If you want someone to help you with security you may want to say how often and what sort of times you work, or you might prefer to save that for private communication once you've got in touch with someone.

When you arrange a security call, make sure you've established a clear procedure. You should know how you're going to attempt to get in touch with your buddy if s/he doesn't call on time, how much leeway to allow, and what action to take if you can't make contact. It's also a good idea to have code words for ok/not ok.
