Migrant support group and problems with AW
« on: 17 April 2019, 09:11:20 pm »
Hi, I'm relatively new in this job and new in London, before of becoming independent I had very bad experiences with agencies but when are you new and migrant in London you don't have another option. Right now I do not have any friends who can guide me and everything is very confusing to start with. I tried to publish an ad in AW but they have deleted my account 3 times, without giving me reasons, I think it's just because I'm an immigrant even though I'm not sure. I am latin with Italian passport and this is the message sent to me every time I try to make an account:

"AdultWork.com is a club.  We are not required to offer you membership and if we chose to, can refuse to offer it to you.
Similarly, you are not required to join this Site, membership is not mandatory as of course you can conduct your business activities elsewhere either online or offline.
When people register they consent that they will conduct their affairs in accordance to our terms of use.  It would seem that you have chosen not to do this.  We have better things to do than police the membership.  We do not act unless we are entirely satisfied with our decision and the grounds for it.

Accordingly, we do not desire you as a member of the club any more.  Kindly refrain from registering on the Site.

Thank you for any honourable custom that was conducted via the Site.  We wish you every success for the future.

I would like to know from your experience what I have been doing wrong, and if every time I tried to make an AW account I will suffer this type of discrimination. I have my ad on vivastreet but I have not gotten any work from there.
Anyone have any ideas? Is there any kind of support for immigrant SW in London? Is there a group that works collectively where I can start? Everything has been very difficult since I am here and at this moment I am a bit desperate, any help will be welcome. Sorry If I have not read ALL the information in the forum I tried to read the most possible and I didn't find the answers to my question. I would really love find someone in the same situation or that have lived similar experiences.

Thank you.

The agencies were not with my profile.
The three times they just deleted my profile and sent me the same message.
They deleted my account after 2 days of registration, and immediately after I sent the proofs.
I think yes , probably , I am not sure who verify the account.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Can we take the Adultwork stuff to the AW board? There is far more useful information there and it helps make sure Buddy section doesn't get derailed :).
