Title: Your pets and have they ever misbehaved when you have had a client round? :)
Post by: Lil Lolita on 30 March 2013, 02:55:39 pm
Just wondering if any of you have pets (cats, dogs, birds, rabbits etc) that obviously are there when you do incalls. I presume they are shut away when a client books? Or have any ever misbehaved and done funny things?  :) Do any of your clients get scared or say they have allergies?

My dog barks when clients press the door bell, for that reason I hide behind the door to try and answer it before they press it.
My dog is locked in the front room and I let people know shes in there when they come over, I don't want people walking around my house espically my private front room when pictures of my family members. Most guys say they are fine with dogs are so I always say " Shes a very nervous dog and wets herself when she meets new people" I don't want them touching my dog.... Shes hypoallergenic... can't actually spell the word, so she doesn't molt and is fine for allergy suffers. Shes as good as gold really, longer bookings if its not raining I leave the patio door open for her to go in the garden (enclosed 6ft fence)

I have a dog and 3 cats my dog goes in the back garden when I work as she terrorizes clients jumping up licking and barking. Cats are ok they don't really do anything I lock them out the room.

Princess Emily why don't you want clients touching your dog lol? I don't mind and think it's sweet when they want to stroke my cats however I was furious once when a client arrived and I was stashing the money and came back to find him with my fat cat at arms length moving her out the room, it really pissed me off cos she doesn't like being picked up especially from someone she's never met! No client has ever attempted to pick my cat off the bed to put her out they leave me to do it she could have scratched him.

So I get what you mean about not wanting them to touch your dog and though it probably sounds weird to non pet lovers it really annoyed me the client dared pick my cat up and move her.

My cat just sleeps whenever I have an in-call, as she sleeps on our bed in the daytime. I may have to move her out of bedroom - but only I would do this.

She may come up to say "hello" to me or client but then go back downstairs to sleep. Oh she has a hard life  ;)

As a pet lover, she is my baby, I don't want "them" touching my baby. Sounds daft and over protective , but its also so that when i'm out walking her they dont recognise her, and she goes up to them in the park/beach etc I have my hat on and baggy clothes etc not the most noticable of people but my doggy is non-forgettable lol - mindless rambling I think, but hopefully it makes some sense.

Some dogs can't leave their owners alone, imagine ur dog at the other side of the bedroom door scratching and growling trying to get in, when you're busy doing your business.  lol

I so get not wanting them to touch your dog! I tour so sadly my baby has to be looked after by someone else for 2-3 days. An added expense but wouldnt get rid of him for all the money in the world! But I try to imagine a client touching my dog and it makes me mad! Your dog is your pride and something that is kept pure, so that when you get showered and put your pjs on and cuddle with them they are YOURS and free from anything to do with work. Having a client touch them makes that line too blurred for my liking. It may seem an odd way of viewing things but its just my view and I think some things DO have to be kept pure- i.e for YOU only. Id love to take my dog and keep him in the apartment lounge where NO client goes, I miss him LOADS but hes wayyyy too boisterous for work! xx

My little kitty so bad. Last week I bought him along to the hotel. Me and a client are having a drink and he jumps up and causes my client to spill vodka/soda on his suit and tie.

Other times he goes and plays with people's feet making them laugh, or jumps up on the bed while we're in the middle of sex. When I put him in another room, he meows and meows incessantly until I either let him out or he falls asleep.

I have 9 cats and a dog, they are in the kitchen, obviously the cats only come into the kitchen when they are bored of terrorising the wild life.  But I have never had clients complain about my animals actually most are shocked to find out I have any as my house has no trace or smell of them.

My dog is the same as your cat Blaine- I wouldnt dare risk taking him on tour because if I put him in the kitchen at home when people visit he goes crazy barking for aaaaages, but if I allow him in he jumps all over the person and just doesnt stop! xx

I have French Mastiffs ( 6 of them ) and a Bullmastiff'. French Mastiffs are the dog from the old film Turner & Hooch  Great big slobbery things that fart and smell horribly.   They are my babies and they cost me a small fortune  they all have stupid but relevant names

Hooker  ( named after me ) 84 killos and only just over 2 years old

Shabba  (Used to be a stud dog, so I named him after the  Shaba Ranks song Mr Lover-man)

Chullo   ( cos he chews everything )

Spooks & Narca   (Cos Spooks was my favourite  TV program- I have the complete series on  box sets from the beginning and  I secretly  swooned over Adam Carter  ;D. And Narca is a narcy little cow always miserable  -  they are litter sisters and total little  bitches  )

The  Dude   (named after watching the film Hey Dude Where's my car  -  He is a real Dude in every way and very laid back- he is my show dog and is fantastic in the show ring. But he has a sock eating fetish and no socks are safe when he is around )

Hussey (a total and absolute Tart who  will wander off with anyone that smoothes her belly and she likes to watch the tv )

No more though cos I'm running out of names although if  I had two more dog  I would call them Guns & Roses or Benson & Hedges I think.

My cat has to go into another room but sometimes makes a lot of noises and occasionally breaks things, clients think its either someone there or a burglar until I explain!!! she would be jumping all over them and as she is not part of the sex act I just joke and tell them..
some of my regulars love her who have cats also and so I let her loose in the lounge at the end of their booking

There are pictures of them on my website/ twitter -  they are my big babies.   French Mastiffs are actually much easier to train than bullmastiff i find.  Bullmastiff's ( I've had 4 over the years ) and they are incredibly stubborn probably because they have a lot of bulldog in them and they are very very one minded.  Every one including the one that I have now has taken a long time to train correctly  as they are in a world of there own. They know all the commands and will do them but often in their own time.

French mastiffs on the other hand are a lot more submissive to their owners and eager to please. They pick things up quickly often within days. They can be stubborn but no where near as bad as the Bullmastiff's  If you do plan to get one  I would say do your research very carefully on them.  There a lot of back yard breeder breeding bull mastiffs and french mastiffs at the moment as they cost around ?1000 -  ?1500 so a lot of money in breeding them. However because of this you have a lot of french mastiffs and bull mastiffs that are not typical to the breed standard  and they are small and thin Some are not much bigger than a staffie and are being sold for ?1000.

Also because of the type of the dog that they are I would recommend getting one from a puppy and socialise it loads between 8 -16 weeks old otherwise if you get an older dog of say 1 year old you can often get a lot of problems with them with other dogs if they havnt been socialised properly  ( all the ones that i have from puppies are brilliant with other dogs and  the ones that i got as older dogs are big terrorists  in disguise -   i speak from experience of this   ;D )

My baby is a Bulldog he has OOOODLESSS of personality and would probably scare the life out of clients also! (He thinks anyones arms, legs, or anything reachable, is fair game)

Although he is only just over 7 months old, and a little shorter than he should be (bad breeders) he is very muscly and incredibly strong! My first ever dog and I went for a Bulldog... Just shows the naivety doesnt it! But we are trundling along nicely now for the most part! Hes incredibly stubborn, fearlessly determined, and really reallllly dominant and alpha!

Hes also really reallllly well trained for his age because im so strict with my little man! I think im going to work in Manchester instead of touring because I miss him too much (and my home).

Hes very handsome too, though I swear hes going through his teens as I keep catching him giving me evil looks haha! xXxX
