I get asked that quite often, and sometimes they don't even wait for me to answer, and they say "I guess it's hard to have a bf and doing this" (which I agree, but it's none of their business, I don't ask about their wives unless they make it obvious they want to talk it). I wouldn't disclose having a partner even if I did anyway...

I agree. I think some don't want to think of you having unprotected sex with anyone, or they're jealous, or it's for nefarious reasons and think you're more vulnerable being single, I just don't know. Whatever way I also don't appreciate it. [removed]

Similar to when they ask 'are you single?' or 'are you married?' These are personal questions which they have no business asking. I just tell them it's personal in a stern/flirty way so they have a chance to get the hint. If they ask again I turn the question back on them whilst stopping whatever nice thing I'm doing.

I've been asked by some clients if I was single and other clients have assumed I have a boyfriend. I just waffle on that life is is complicated and moan about the trials and tribulations of the system and timing and I'm sure their eyes glaze over, or nod along. Basically the best none answer I can give without getting in a huff.

I always give a flippant answer, something like "nah I'm far too sensible to be married" and they usually shut up  :)

One or two used to say it was strange I had gotten to a particular age without being married.

Now I am married I have had one repeat booking who when he discovered I am still married, tells me he isn't sure if he can book again (after saying he was really keen to make this a regular thing).

Whatever my status seems there's an effect on some, but most seem to be fine enjoying their booking!

That question is the equivalent to "why are you sleeping around when you have a wife?'.
Mornings were made for sleeping, wild sex and bacon.

Nosy old gits who ask personal questions (and yes it does tend to be the older men in my experience anyway) are one offs for me and I do not see them again if they ask for another booking.

One man asked me if I was married or divorced and I just looked back at him and smiled but ignored the question. He seemed to get the hint that he should not have asked.  Another asked outright "do you have a husband?" to which I replied "maybe I do and maybe I don't"  and another asked how long I have been married and my "almost a month" left him literally open mouthed. It wasn't true of course but I enjoyed playing the game.

On the flip side though I have long term clients who I have known for over a decade and they have never asked a single personal question about my private life. Perfect!  They may just be totally uninterested or have a total respect for the rights and wrongs of booking ladies. Either way it is good.

I always answer "do you have a partner/spouse" with "no, what would I need one of those for?!"

I got asked recently 'Do you fancy me' to a client it did feel very awkward.  He was disappointed I didn't do dinner meets.

He also asked how long was I going to be doing the job for!  Honestly.

I never take my wedding ring off, so if anyone asks, I just wave my finger at them...... Sometimes this warrants a follow up question of 'Does he know you do this' - Proceeding by me rolling my eyes into the back of my head & very bluntly telling them he is downstairs watching TV if they would like to ask him themselves, that usually ends that little awkward interaction
