Working with injuries
« on: 07 November 2018, 02:25:43 pm »
I tried to see if there had been a previous thread on this topic so not to start a new but certainly not found one.
Are ladies here working with physical injuries?
I've been struggling with inflamed tendon in wrist and knee muscle pains for a few weeks.
It's been manageable but I don't do longer bookings and stopped Fetish as it's agony getting dressed at times.
One lovely guy asked me to go down on my knees for him to just couldn't do it. It was like a proposal on one knee in the end.
Do you find your clients are sympathetic or you don't tell them to your in pain during the session?

I've been suffering with Tennis Elbow for 11 months now, then in June this year damaged my knee, so couldn't kneel, and then in Sept I had a flare up of IC for 6 weeks, and now just getting over nearly 3 weeks of Sciatica.  It has been a very difficult year for me physically (not to mention the 13 coldsores I've had in 11 months), I've had to limit my actions a lot, and for quite a few weeks have been unable to work due to the pain.  Most of my regulars have been understanding, and many have still come to see me even if I've only been able to offer massage, or waited until I've been well.  I've struggled with new clients though, as obviously they've not been given the chance to see me regularly, and I don't want to tell new clients what I've been going through as it might put them off, or they'll thing I'm unreliable (the mind is willing, but my body isn't. lol) so just tell them I'm busy and hope they'll keep trying.  But it is what it is, and I just pray that my body will get better soon, as it isn't just a drain financially but on my mental health too.

Your regulars will understand, but I wouldn't work if I'm in agony, as it's not fair to you or the client.

A few years ago I was in an abusive relationship and had to work with a suspected broken rib. I used to be in agony but didn’t tell any of the clients and would grin and bear it although I used to be in such pain.

I also had about a year ago a strain in my right arm/wrist which was possibly from always texting on the phones lol again the pain was bad and thankfully it’s gone now but when I used to be doing hand relief I was constantly swapping hands lol

Bless you! It must be hard:(
I once worked with knee tri splint after I have dislocated my knee cap. Couldnt drive so was booking taxis every day to get to incall place. Clients were very understanding though, plus I was offering discount due to not being fully flexible.. I ended up doing webcam up until I felt bit better. I had a blood clot as a result of injury though and was paranoid about having sex and bled to death but the nurse calmed me down;)I also had jaw nearly dislocated and ended up not doing oral for some time. My knee still bad and jaw weird feeling really so I play safely, sometimes I thing I should really change a job due to not being physically able to meet the demand of this job..:-/
Hope things will get better for you:)

I'm currently working with nerve damage in my dominant hand. It has meant certain bookings are not possible for the time being, but everyone I have seen has been lovely about it  :)
If we're not supposed to have midnight snacks, why is there a light in the fridge?

Are there any pain killers you find long lasting that don't cause
Stomach discomfort?

I have various injuries from various other life activities, luckily none affecting sex work however do cause me pain whilst driving or sitting for long periods. Most of my bookings are outcall and I also need to drive a fair distance to access suitable photographers, I am however very good at taking loo and meal breaks on journey, will park so I get a bit of a walk in, as well generally being active when I'm at journey's end ie standing in shops and waiting rooms instead of accepting a seat.

It might be a case of "suck it and see" but I had a fall a few years ago and twisted my knee badly. My GP gave me Naproxen and that managed the pain and took the inflammation down as well.

However if you have ever had a stomach ulcer or any type of gastric issues they may not be suitable. This goes for any NSAID so this also includes Cuprofen, Ibuprofen, etc.

My sister swears by Co-Codamol but I find it makes me nauseous and very constipated!
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes

CoCodamol has got me through some bookings that would otherwise have been impossible (think toothache so bad that even my hair brushing the outside of my face felt like it was being set on fire) but it's hefty stuff and it does fuck with your digestion. I found the nausea wasn't a problem provided I didn't take it on an empty stomach (so never a problem for me :D) but it does make you bunged up and it gives me a dry mouth too, which is crappy when you're working even for kissing.

I stupidly did an afternoon of bookings only a couple of hours after running a 10K and was pretty stiff - ibuprofen was the winner there.

The physiotherapist asked what may I have done in access to my wrist that could have exasperated the pain. How could I say it was fast hand relief weekly?
so just said it must be the excessive texting!!  ;)

Many doctors will just recommend paracetemol which is kinder to the stomach.

I got dolipran from a friend sent over from France. It works quite well.
The voltorol for joint pain is useless  :FF
Naproxin with Co codomol worked but gave dreadful stomach  ache.
Wrist is finally healing with exercises and now just dealing with a painful knee.
I'll put heels on tomorrow and hope for the best.

Well the physiotherapy  failed to improve both wrist and knee tendons. I think the exercise was to strengthen those muscles.
Do think I may have early onset of arthritis. Do any ladies here have that problem?
The gp is useless. I would try cannabis oil.where to get hold of the right stuff.
I am working shorter bookings as it can be agony after.
