Wondering what you would do/charge in this situation...
« on: 30 December 2012, 09:54:13 pm »
I collected a partial deposit from a client to meet last Thursday. However, the whole process was thru texts and then I had gotten sick the night before (had inflammed airways which lead to visit to ER). Client only had 1 day at 1 time during the week which is at noon for 2 hours. Somewhere in the text messaging I had completely misinterpreted in as simply Thursday afternoon.

Anyhow, I've agreed to stay on tour longer not just for him but for my own pleasure but now things have gotten slow and rent is right around the corner on the 1st and I'm paying hotels daily for it. He agreed to give me extra donation for staying but good grief, I'm still incurring expenses along the way. Even now, I'm thinking of returning the deposit to him and cancelling because I still have 4 more days of hotel expenses to pay.

I thought about posting this on a blog, but it would seem to scream 'UNRELIABLE' and give off the wrong impression so am a bit reluctant to do so.

well its too late, ive already agreed to wait things out and see him. He's agreed to pay me an additional $100 on top of the deposit and the remainder of my rate. I wish I would have left though on Friday or Saturday  :FF

Is it really too late to give him back his deposit? What if he cancels on you after all this? You'll be even more out of pocket then!
