What Sim card do you use?

I have used an old virgin mobile sim that I had, but at 25p per minute, there must be other more cost-effective options around. what telephone sim or network operators do you use?

Virgin used to be the work phone SIM of choice, with no line rental and credit that lasted beyond 30 days. Others have caught up with that (most of them anyway, I think you have to use up credit on Three quickly) but I am surprised they want 25p/min off you.

The big question is how many calls / texts / internet do you make / send / use? If it's low, then I still have Virgin and my bi-monthly bill is about a quid.

Orange works really well for me, they have different packages to suit how you work too

Dolphin - ?10 per month 400 free texts and free 'net, plus your credit to make calls

Canary - ?10 per month 100 free evening and weekend mins and texts

Raccoon - Gives the lowest rate of 12p per min and 12p per text.

I use the Dolphin pack as I have an android work phone that automatically texts guys when I'm busy or not working.

I use Virgin too! On payg, ?15 a month gets me 1000 texts, lots of free internet time plus i still have the ?15 credit for the very few outgoing calls i make.

Oh, for the smartphone, I have GiffGaff (they had free internet for about a year and the call charges are good - I still have about ?8.50 of the original ?10 credit left), T-Mobile (good for payg internet in Europe) and TalkMobile (again with good call charges and reasonable internet) SIMs. The actual one in the phone varies :) depending on what I want to do with it.

My work phone is orange on the dolphin pack also ...out of my ?10 credit i pay ?5 for the 100 mins talk time for the month but dont really use it all and still have ?5 to use if needed .
My own phone is 02 which i just top up ?15 a month (unlimited) and also will buy a bundle off them but everyone i know more or less is on 02 so i get free calls to them .
So all in all i pay ?25 a month in total for work and home mobile bill ............much better than when i was on contract as my bill was always hundreds for some reason ;-(   .
I am thinking of sending for the international sim that paris has got for abroad ( not got past that stage yet ;-D ).

 i have t mobile personal where i pay 35 month on contract and have  1200 mins ulimted text /internet and can use my phone well rather the internet /emails ect abroad as well  (not phone calls ) this works out well as im often touring or away on holiday so dont get stung for internet abroad  it rare that i get a bill above 35 pounds   

work  phone i use a  free 02 sim   which i put 10 a month get  and get to use the  ?10 credit plus ulimited text and internet  as it rare that i call clients i text them and get them to call me it works out just fine
