I am so angry with myself for not seeing this one coming.

I've been let down twice by the same guy.

It took me all day to prepare to see him again... since he couldn't make it last time. (I should know better than this by now!)

....anyway, it's like the crap that I used to send tutors at college, he is 26, he says. A picture of a flat tyre. BOLLLOCKS!

Had this one a month ago about 1 hr before our agreed time :

“So sorry love but I thought my wife was going on a work event this evening but it’s next week. I do hope we can meet up then instead ?”

Another disorganized idiot but least he was honest I suppose  :FF

Yeah, but do you actually believe it?

I think it's not true most of the time.

They book, have a little tommy tank and then F, off the appointment?

The wife was away for a few days but has suddenly come home early.
Had it 3 times from 3 different outcall clients, always about an hour before the booking was due to start. Such unpredictable women...

Wife or girlfriend came home
Called into work
Pulled a woman last night
Illness
Wrong kind of drizzle
Sunny weather
Car turned itself around (years before cars could assist driving) (this was after cancelling the other two bookings he made)
Car breakdown
Light aircraft crash
Someone scared I was a scammer cancelled on the day through nerves

I never know if any of these are true or not, but it's the high rate that takes the P.

Some of these happen within minutes of making a booking, some later.

I believe called into work or illness or car breakdown reasons. I do not believe the other excuses.

The usual - "I woke up and I'm not feeling well".
After I told him that if he didn't show up, there was a fee to rebook, he suddenly got well and showed up.

So many of these guys will mess around as much as they think they can get away with.

One confirmed from the parking spot (out of sight but other clues indicate he was there), got directions, didn't come to the door. An hour or so later he replied to my text asking if he is ok, his reply "I got held up".

Many years ago I had a punter not turn up for a mid afternoon booking; it was only a half hour so I was irritated while not that bothered, but it annoyed me that I didn't see it coming as I can normally spot them a mile off.

The following the day the bloke texted profuse apologies and begged me to let him come today instead. I wasn't mad busy so I booked him for about the same time (and just thought I'd kick myself if he got me twice).

He turned up good as gold and told me he'd had a call to say his teenager had been caught shoplifting in town with their friends from school and he'd had to drop everything go and pick them up at the police station - to this day I don't think he was making it up as he looked so mortified. I sometimes wonder if the teenager is still grounded ;D.
