When you get an email saying something along the lines of "thinking of making a booking, can you send me some pics please?"
I received such an email this morning and usually I just ignore them, but in this case I responded and asked if two galleries plus more worth of pics isn't sufficient.
Do you respond? If so what do you say?

I get these now and again and do pretty much the same thing - I tend to delete emails according to tone (anything written in text speak or addressing me as 'babes' or 'hun' :-X is guaranteed to be headed straight for the bin) and if it is polite and sounds genuine I normally point out that there are plenty of photos on my site and add a link.
I had a AW guy email asking for a face pic (on the grounds that it was 'a lot of money' and he wanted to see my face before deciding) I refused and pointed out that everyone who books gets to see my face, and he was free to walk if he wasn't happy. I got a whingy one back which I ignored, and I didn't hear back from him until about six months later when he sent me another email (obviously thinking I wouldn't remember the nick) asking me if I did outcalls to his (small) town, and if I worked there often, as he was concerned I would be recognised if I visited his house! This from the guy who couldn't understand why I don't show my face! Tosser.
Needless to say, I expressed my opinion as freely as ever and we have so far not met... ;D

Funny you should say that as I have had a guy texting me for 3 days now saying he wants to see me, has no internet and wants pics first.
Ignored him until this morning when I text him back asking, if he has no internet, how did he hear about me and get my number as I am only advertised on internet and with pics so how did he miss them?
Funnily enough, I have not had a reply back.

I reply with a link to my gallery and no accompanying text. They don't talk to me any more after that. :(

Now see, that's good. 'Cos sometimes I want to say something as I do usually ignore them. But then I want them to get what I think about their request, hence my email this morning.

I like that idea sending them the link, will do that in future.
Thanks Anika

How did I manage to miss this thread until today?
Anyway...from my experience 99.9% of the time the ones asking for extra pics (usually a nude, I show my face) dont book.
Now, you still have that 0.1% who will book and I have had it happen. When I first started and didnt want to show nude, I had a client tell me they wanted to see some nude pics of me, which I did. I also had another guy ask me for some nude pics to "get him going" and I did. And I met with both of em. But thats just a narrow exception. Very, very narrow.
Otherwise, my site has everything they need to see and can go there. I say, "I dont send out extra pics, what you see on there is all me". It doesnt do any good to even say that as then they dont respond (like Ani said)
I noticed once I featured nudes on my site I get less emails asking to see, which is the only thing the majority of the viewers want, without actually booking you.

i second that i think it is a good way of handling this by sending him a link of the site of the pictures with no added text
superb :)

yea, since I've had my website up its much easier to send them there. They can knock themselves out
