No one has to answer her though do they, she feels comfy sharing the information but that doesn't mean people need to start judging her as crass. This is a board for talking about escort related things so I fail to see what's wrong with her post.

Besides the only bone I have to pick with this board is if there's ever a post people don't like on here or is a repeat it's like shut down, what happens when people run out of a topics? There really out to be a chatting section or something where it just isn't moderated so people can get to know each other better else I find this forum real hard to break into and actually really hard to post into.

Roxychu, nobody is saying the OP can't post whatever she wants within the rules, but if other people find it vulgar or crass they equally have every right to say so. I personally do find it extremely tacky to crow about how much money you've made, but that doesn't mean I think people shouldn't be allowed to do so if they really want to. The general culture in Canada, where the OP is, may well be different to here but by and large I think most people would agree, in the UK at least.

As for the rest, it's worth remembering that SAAFE is not a social or general discussion forum - our focus is very narrow and we are first and foremost an information resource which exists to provide support and advice to potentially vulnerable people. There are plenty of 'chat' forums out there, and if you really, really want an unmoderated board (presumably where people can participate in non-stop bitchy, hate-filled, prejudiced, bullying and generally unpleasant slanging matches, since, trust me, this is what always happens on unmoderated message boards) then you are more than welcome to start one of your own.

Threads which are shut down are fairly few and far between, and this normally happens because they've either dissolved into a stupid argument, are/have gone off topic or are going round in circles and getting nowhere. Completely off topic threads are removed because they are pointless, and threads which cover a subject already discussed are merged into the original discussion to make it easier for those searching for information. I can't see why anybody would have a problem with any of this, but again, we make no pretence of the fact that this is not a chat room or a general industry board and plenty of our members who want to post on these do exactly that.

The thing is though RoxyChu, that this board is open to the public - they may not post here, but they lurk and read  ::) And some punting forums quite often start threads relating to posts that they've read on Saafe (why I don't know, but us gals are quite entertaining) and they would love to tear Sex-workers to pieces for bragging about how much we earn....

As well as that there's naive newbies lurking (hello!), and if they read a post like this they might just think *feck it, I'm going to give it a go* - when anyone who does work in the industry knows that making squillions from an easy booking is rare, and the rest of the time it's hard work.

And finally: opportunistic thinking thug stumbles across this forum, sees a post on 'how much we can make', thinks to himself I want in on that, and decides to rob a woman working alone in a flat.

You just have to be a bit careful with what you post as you don't really know who's reading this.

Take care xx

I don't mean closed threads I mean quite often if something is posted for example that has been posted before everyone just links to previous threads which is fine but it would be nice if people commented as well since everyones situation feels individual advice and support is most likely to hit home when it's individual and for topics like this where people decide it's crass everyone just shuts down. This isn't the advice section anyways.

I understand what you mean, but no one is paying us to give advice etc, we do it because we want to... and having to give the same advice every week to a different newbie becomes monotonous.

Yes some people do have individual circumstances, but a lot of the time most of the information (i.e agencies, security procedures, incall versus outcall) are the same for everyone and a quick search or look at the main site would give as much information as members could.

The feeling I get is that a lot of newbies haven't bothered to read all of the information on the main site and haven't done a search. If they did and had more questions they are more than welcome to ask them, and will get helpful personalised responses. But until they have shown the ability to research and educate themselves, I'm not going to waste my time when the information is readily available, and where the advice is better written and more informative.

I do not believe it is right to brag on here about high earnings.

So I won't.

I know most of us will have a story about the client
who was wildly generous and did not use all his paid for time, or the
the memory of days when we had several clients a day EVERY DAY  but
there are ladies on here who are struggling to find one client a week
never mind several in a day.

Agreed

Girls that openly brag about how much money they get for as little work as possible do not come across well at all, it's as simple as that. I don't think people with such an attitude will last very long in this work.

Thanks.
And I've still got the revealing full colour high gloss photos, taken after 'completion'.
