This depends who it is a new client who's paid a deposit and confirmed hasn't yet not turned up. I would probably send a 'Is everything OK text' a few minutes after the appointment was due to start. No name, no sexiness.

A repeat booker I'd do the same sometimes I ask repeat bookers to confirm, sometimes I leave it as they've made it to one booking so I trust them to let me know if they can't make it.

Unfortunately have recently been stung by this, and he'll have to pay a deposit for next time. The regulars I have after a bit of a prune, are all reliable. It would truly have to be a disaster for them to no show. In which case if I know it's OK to contact them I would, if not I'd leave it until they next got in touch - or I spot the disaster elsewhere. I have found out about sudden unexpected deaths that way.

I do not send anything at all to no shows, I ignore it and move on
various reasons, but in my mind a no show who doesn't let you know they aren't coming just wants power and control and to waste your time, so by communicating anything at all is playing right into their hands

One of the ladies at a drop in  in suggested  saying that  I should tell them I travel to the working location and if I've not heard from client I wont head there which seems quite a good idea .
That way some not all  timewasters will be aware your not there if they don't turn up saying that some others  they take the piss anyway and say they are there when not

Do you write anything in your profile and faq sections.?
I.e. .client non shows etc 
I've not written anything yet should I or not bother just take it as it is expect t wasters as one of the perils this job

I often specify that not confirming is not a way to cancel, and  'If you can't make it please let me know ASAP', always interesting when someone says 'Of course I'd always let you know/won't let you down' then does exactly that. Also had that after being promised a deposit, they say they'll do it take details, I ask to let me know if they change their minds (sometimes I've said 'How about you have a think and get back to me?', 'No I'm definite and will do it now/would let you know if I change my mind' to then disappear without trace.

Occasionally they'll try again a few months later, of course something terribly important came up the last time, did you not get my text? Or wasn't able to use my phone.

I shall leave the faq section well alone and just ignore them and not reply when they don't show

I had a guy not even bother cancelling or letting me know today , I'd fallen asleep and luckily set the alarm and leapt up got ready quick .. no call 
I just text booking now cancelled .
What do you tend to say to them
How long do you give b4 cancelling their booking ?

I message to say they are now blacklisted and  then block the number.
