I'd happily take 270 for 3 hours dinner date, just sitting around talking & eating for the first hour or so is easy money.

I'd want double that because I'd find it excruciatingly awkward and incredibly difficult. Or I just wouldn't do it, since I have no desire at all to go out in public with clients - we all have different ideas about what's 'easy money', a bit like the dickheads who think they should pay less becauss they 'only' want a blow job .

Figured y'all could appreciate this. This was an older client, around 75 (not my favorite age anyway)& he books a 90 minute which is $350 ~ I guess about 400 pounds for you guys. 1/2 way thru the session he asks if this could be an ongoing thing & he'd like to see me twice monthly for 2 hours each time, can I work with him on the donation amount?

I hadn't clicked with him but hey, my 2 hours are $500 each, so we're talking 1K a month here...suddenly he's a lot more interesting, right? Sure, I can work with you. I'm thinking let's do $400 for the 2 hours, possibly $375, I'll feel him out.

I said absolutely, what did you  have in mind for a regular bi weekly amount for the 2 hours?

"$150."

"Pardon?"

He looks at me, completely serious & repeats, "$150."

I said, "For 2 hours. Twice a month."

"Yes."

*Chernobyl melt down begins*
"So,  I have a question for you, X. I'm wondering what makes you think I'd be willing to see you for 2 hours twice a month for less than what I accept for a 30 minute visit. My 30 minute visits are $175 dollars, but, just to be clear, you're wanting 2 hours for ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS!!" and yeah, I was shouting by then *shame faced*.

Just yesterday a potential client was bombarding my phone with messages. After I gave him my rates, he tells me he can’t afford it. I don’t respond. Then he comes back to me 30mins later with “ Can you come up with a deal for £80?” 🙄

To which I gave him my standard response of “No. My rates are based on my talent, not your budget”.
Then I promptly block their cheap asses.
