This is the problem with an OP posting how much they received, I would guess every case is different.

Am not going to bother trying to be helpful next time.

I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

It's definitely good that posters can share their experiences, but in terms of actual usefulness it would be a lot more help to encourage those who are in immediate need to go straight to the dedicated places where they can get credible, concrete information far quicker, and not faff about on sites that have nothing to do with it but where people with a bit of personal insight and some vague stuff they've picked up along the way can shoot the breeze. We need to guard against letting those people think this is the place to ask, because it isn't.

I would think that most of us have electricity in our homes and at least a few will have had occasional problems with it, but if something keeps tripping all my sockets I'm not going to post on here and ask what's happening with my circuit breaker because that would make me a complete bellend. I'm going to call an electrician :)

Please do, i found your post positive and helpful as a sex worker making a claim and what you got and how you did it. I have never claimed ever and certainly not in this type of work so you have reassured me and with your tips. Thankyou

It's very helpful and makes people aware of the options. Then they can be redirected to the right government sites to apply.

If you believe a post is inappropriate or a poster is causing problems you need to report it GG, rather than make cryptic comments. We all have enough to do here and elsewhere already, and the endless off topic stuff (not to mention some of the jawdropping twattery that is predictably starting to creep into the Seeking/Offering section) is not making it any easier :).

No cryptic comments, it’s not hard to see. Reporting people for having a bad attitude would be a waste of everyone’s time. Good day  ;D

Well.if you don't want to report then that's fine (and your personal view on anybody's 'attitude' is no concern of ours anyway) but in that case please try to stick to making useful posts rather than underhanded sniping about others. Although I'm glad whatever it is about the situation that's amusing you, is.

Bloody hell I started filling in the universal credit application form on line at  7 o'clock this morning verification of the identity which is done through the post office takes a very long time seems like it's the only way to do at the moment. It's a long process so if you are not patient then it's gone be a big problem it's not straight forward just managed to get there eventually fingers crossed I will get some good news soon.

I called universal credit today and had to wait on the phone for quite a while. When I finally got through they told me I have to do a telephone appointment and the earliest they have offered me is 21st April! Has anyone else had to wait 3 weeks for a telephone appointment? It’s bloody crazy, I have bills to pay, I was hoping to get a payment from them a lot sooner than that
