I have the opposite problem. I feel guilty spending money and I stress as soon as my "to spend" cash drops below a certain level - even though I have a sizeable savings buffer. It's so bad I hardly buy meat and treats because I cannot justify the per KG price to myself.

Anyone want some of my money paranoia, so we can meet in the middle with a healthier attitude? >.>

This is me as well, especially at the moment. :(

I'm horrible. I spend my money stupidly. bought a ?400 treadmill I only used it 5 times and its now a clothes dryer spent ?800 on wigs that are stashed away in a bin bag under the bed. what i really want is to buy nice clothes and shoes cuz I want to look good lol.  I need a stylist i really dont know how to shop for nice things :-[ I'm saving for a  rhinoplasty and thread vein removal; and a flat so need to be careful with the spending. Plus I'm paying for my acting/singing and piano lessons. with the money I make (Which aint a huge amount) I feel as though I have nothing to show for it. all wasted I need serious help.

I see your treadmill and raise you two electric drum kits.

I'm terrible in this respect. I've worked it out having always kept stringent records from my first job that with the amount of money I've earnt in 8 years I could have outright bought a house for every member of my family and 3 for myself. That makes me very sad that I'm only about to buy outright my first house and the rest of the money has gone on nice cars and holidays, family, bills and poxy taxes.

I've got a nice buffer of cash at all times but I wish I had saved more over the years.

My problem is I do not push myself hard enough in the job to spend on a nice holiday for me and my son.  That said from September I will start saving ?100 a month for a 2 week holiday in Cuba April 2017.  ?1.800 should cover it- I will just see the ?100 as an essential bill or I will NEVER leave the UK ever again!

For a long while he would have been far too young and demanding to go on holiday on our own with but now he is older I think he would really appreciate it.

I too find ebay rather addictive but it is so much easier than trawling through shops to buy things and saves us all a lot of time too.  I am on there every week of the year I find it invaluable.

I do this part time so don't earn enough to be lavish. The inconsistencies of the weekly earnings keep me grounded. Having always been a frugal person I love "getting something out of nothing". I've always shopped in the sales, I get a buzz from getting a bargain. for example,  I buy cosmetics from online shops that sells brands at 99p. I break things down in my mind as a 30 minute booking will feed me & my kids for 2 weeks, or it's a day rate in my civvy job. When I did escorting as my sole income, it was easy to fall into an "easy come easy go" mentality & I've ended up with lots of clothes & shoes that I've never worn. {Goes off to set up selling page on AW}

I am the same as you Emma c although I do have my blow money moments. I am determined to pay credit card andhave got a bit addicted to that so any spare cash at the end of the week after shopping, petrol, and money put aside for tax etc is going on them. I am treating myself and the kids but with group on and wowcher stuff.

when i started I would literally *run* to harrods between jobs and buy red soled things and overpriced face creams. Then it went quiet and I literally had nothing, so I'm finally learning to save a bit- thank god! Trying to get together some deposit money for renting my own place and a holiday :-\ so gone are the days of shopping  :)

it's those bloody cheap lingerie sites on the internet that get me, it looks great on the photo, so I order it, it looks crap on me (because
my body isn't quite the same as those models in the pics lol), but I'm too lazy to send it all the way back to china, so money wasted..
Again  ::)
Saying that, I have had some nice stuff off things like that as wel.. Cheap and cheerful  ;)
I don't have to be perfect, but I'm perfect at being me!

Oh yes gotta love Groupon!  ;) I've just bought {more clothes that I don't need} some new oasis dresses for under 3 quid on ebay.

Sigh, I am still having problems. I am  just so irresponsible with my money, I don't budget or anything. I am going to start from next week though. Like I just spend it and don't even check how much money I have left, This week has been horrible with spending :'( I am just out of control. I have spent ?400 just seeing a specialist about my skin. (I feel as though it was such a waste of money) spent ?300 on makeup (in one day) I can't control myself. I buy stuff and if I don't like it I just throw it away, regardless if it cost ?10 or ?100. I seriously need help. :'( :'( :'( :'( I feel so bad  :'(

I'm guilty of this today, I splashed out on a designer bag after a new venture in my business alongside escorting, the bag was sooo expensive but it was one of those "fuck it, I can make it back in next weeks bookings" moments! I feel guilty but every time I look at the bag that goes away hahaha

You deserve this bag. It's now there with you and it'll stay forever and every time you touch it you'll feel this thrill that only "bag people" understand.

Just thinking about a new bag makes me all dizzy, the touch, the smell, the leather... If there was a bag fetish I'd be happy to advertise it:))

I soooo need one too...

Yes!!!! You're so right!
I have a Givenchy bag which makes me feel all fuzzy inside when I look at it and when I look at it I totally fall in love haha! You understand!

I love designer bags but only buy them on special occasions such as my birthday Christmas or like this time a new venture in my business, i like my little collection!

The money worry only lasted about 10 minutes anyway haha! Shoes is another weakness but we won't go there LOL x

Awwww:))))
Yes these bags are a treat. I wouldn't buy one just like that, they must "mark" a special occasion.
Shoes are more of "let's feel better today" but then I won't spend on shoes what I spend on a bag.

I get you totally. I can go to tesco or anywhere really dressed sort of homeless style. But I won't leave the house without my bag (or my sunglasses).
That intoxicating, comforting, exciting feeling when I grab my bag... Just writing about it makes me go all "dizzy" like you just said:)

I don't do that many meets as I wouldn't want the neighbours to find out so I rarely feel I can splash out for long.

Having to change my car every year or 18 months doesn't help matters either and the cost of food, childcare etc.
