Corsets, underbust or overbust?
« on: 11 December 2018, 07:29:02 pm »
Just wondering for those of you who wear steel boned corsets during your bookings which do you prefer to wear, overbust or underbust and which do your punters prefer?

I used to wear leather and pvc underbusts all the time years ago as it was easy access to my boob's but I've been looking at corsets online and some of the overbusts are lovely, but are they worth it if you cannot get your boob's out and then have to remove the entire corset?

Also if you were to pick a colour which would it be? Black, white, red, blue, pink, black and white, black and purple? Which colours do you think punters prefer

I used to wear them very occasionally but they're so restrictive and uncomfortable for anything other than photos I never kept them on for long, and that was with them loose enough that I could undo the busk without touching the laces. I own several underbust ones but only ever found one overbust one which fit and that didn't fit well - I could barely move in it and I can't imagine trying to fuck in one. I can't even imagine trying to sit down in one :D

I went through a period of wearing them, but got fed up of the pain and bruising.

Wore one a few weeks ago for fun at a festival, laced loosely over a couple of layers.

Corsets with those front fastening metal 'clampy' things called busks may do the trick?
They're very quick release, I have over and under.

I try to remove them before any action as they are expensive and I don't want slobber or dick juice on them.
I don't think customers are ever fussed about colours, I like scarlet.

I’m quite busty; love the look of them; wore them for photo shoots but for working find them too restrictive. One client I used to see loved me to wear them but always felt the strain of wearing them, the tightness and pulling. Always knew I’d been in one after I’d finished!

I have some nice basques so il generally stick to those depending on the client. But a belt and bra is my choice most of the time!

Yes and no, the correct way to remove proper corsets is via the lacing. If the busks are used you need to adjust the lacing afterwards, before putting on again.

I also avoid them because clients have thought pressure marks have been the result of other punters, a pimp or AN Other person in my life harming me. Same with a too tight bra band!

As previous posters have said, corsets are pretty impractical and uncomfortable for anything that resembles activity. My experience is that the length is the issue to look out for rather than the overbust / underbust consideration, since the further over your hips and belly it goes the more 'straight' you have to stay (with some of the longer ones even bending or sitting becomes a challenge that takes practice). If they're not tied and tightened properly that can exacerbate discomfort [rubbing, pressure points etc] as well as affecting the look, and doing it yourself can be tricky (easier with practice). Being able to physically adjust and react can be an important factor and can be more limited in a corset. While it's nice to consider what client's might prefer, it has to be functional and comfortable for you too!
Rather than going for a full on proper corset, it might be worth thinking about the cheap 'n' cheerful plastic 'boned' fashion corsets - the cheapest of the cheap look a bit nasty but you get some that look pretty good and that way you get the aesthetic without some of the downsides (including as saltysweet noted, worrying about gunking up your expensive corset!) A lot of guys are unlikely to know or care about the distinction, especially if it's off in five minutes flat!

No the plastic boning ones I hate. I am not a Slim girl so The bones stick out in the wrong places and even just come out instantly. Years ago all I ever wore were underbust corsets. I know there longer style are restrictive for sitting and all that. PVC was always good for not having to worry about mess. Leather though had to be kept clean but felt more comfortable to wear. And some punters just wanted it off as soon as they got through the door making all my lone efforts to lace myself up very wasted. But others really lovedthe look and the effort I'd gone to for them.

I do think they look fantastic in photos. This is why I'm really having a think about overbust and not just underbust.

Totally get it - that's the dilemma I think, the look v. the practicality!
Just a note if you're planning on wearing it for a photoshoot, if you're doing a few different outfits I would suggest leaving it for last if you're prone to pressure marks as Mirror noted - I did for mine but did a trial run of outfit changes at home first and was really glad I did because I was all red and splodgy once I took the corset off which would've been very inconvenient (if not an outright disaster) for the other looks and of course you're limited with time. The pics with my full, long, corset, suspenders, stockings and heels came out very classy though so I was pleased I went for it.
