Title: The New England...
Post by: UrbaneAspects on 10 July 2009, 07:21:37 am
I hadnt gotten a chance to go over how my tour went...but now that Im home;

Wow...what a difference in Boston. I cant say I particularly loved it nor hated it...but it was better in terms of just about everything. Business was superb, far better than most places in the south. The transportation ran great and for the first time in my life had I felt 100% at ease for taking public transportation, that being subways and such. Who doesnt there?

However, with the case of the craigslist killings from earlier this year; which in fact happened in Boston, the market there is quite cautious...I found it VERY difficult to get clients to visit me in my hotel, and in the process had alot of no-shows which although I wrote them off as time-wasters, until I met a client who even when he got to the hotel would not even get out the car. Most were more content to meet for a drink rather than come directly to the room. Security etc is very tight there so taking chances wasnt likely. Its a shame because the market there would have been twice as good had it been for 1 asshole to screw it up. Hope it gets better there.

I noticed though its alot more quieter here which is definently gives incentive to get moving to the next city ASAP. Its about being in the right place, at the right time...and dammit its about time!
