I've been in full service work and porn since 2015 & only been on here a little. Felt I should say hi.
I didn't really learn about this great resource till I did more activism in straight circles. Gay escorting can feel isolated from forums like it.
I started SW when broke and still needed to fund my ex-partners counselling costs if there was a chance of them working, and I've stayed in the work since we broke up in the end.

My background is in HIV prevention activism. I was part of the sex workers that created porn4prep.com in around 2017 demonstrating PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) as an effective preventative against contracting HIV. Our work was a video demonstration of it working with me as one performer on PrEP and my scene partner who was living with HIV with a high viral load, leading to no HIV transmission. It was a porn film but the film containing interviews with medical experts and sex workers. The work got us invited to speak at the UN in Geneva about it, which was an odd moment.

We later noticed that the sex workers were getting whitewashed out of the history of establishing PrEP access and fighting against pharma monopolies of the breakthrough but affordable access... So I turned my focus more on sex workers Rights activism and combatting that type of erasure. The community is bigger and more inspiring than I ever expected.

Thanks for letting me join. I'm Stephen (but call me Steve for short) from the south west of England. I've been a male service provider for about 3 years.
