I burn and tan, and I hate both. I've been wearing 50 factor suncream and staying inside as much as I can get away with. I think tans look gorgeous but tan lines make me so sad, and there is nowhere to sunbathe nude around here. And burns are icky and painful. I love the warm weather but I wish parasols were fashionable, haha.

Me too. I like the pink-bottle Hawaiian Tropic Factor 50 that you get for babies, but I've got less paranoid as I've got older and now only wear it if I'm actually going outdoors. The rest of the time I stick to Factor 15 and just stay away from the windows  ;D.

I have a dog, so outdoors happens every day. Only about half an hour but that'd be easily enough for me, haha.

I burn on a cloudy day - yes it's happened twice so far this summer as I think "ooh it's virtually raining I don't need my factor 15 today".

By the way they say anything above F15 isn't worth it as the extra protection isn't that much for all the possibly nasty, chemicals they add to get the extra shielding.

Keep some Aloe Vera gel - the 99% stuff in the fridge. It really does work.

Who's they? I studied this in beauty college and we all got our skin tones analysed and I was told I need to use a minimum of 20 to be safe. The extra protection makes a massive difference.

I make sure I have sun protection on daily, basically I have a dispenser bottle in which I mix my body lotion 50:50 with suntan lotion, SPF 30 in the summer, SPF 15 in the winter.
