How often has it happened to you? Somebody calls at 915am and books 10am. Then somebody else calls and wants to come there and then but will likely end up with you being late for your 10am.

What do you all do? Do you accept the early guy then tell the other you will be late? Or do you turn the earlier guy away then risk that the 10am may not show!m?
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

If the 9.15 can arrive in under 15 mins & only wants half an hour, I'd fit him in. Otherwise I'd ask him to call later or put him on reserve for if the 10 am doesn't show.

These ones that impulsively ask for "now" can mean anything up to arriving in 30 minutes or over so constant tit ache knowing who to see.

I get this every now and then and we know both or either many not turn up.So double book and cross my fingers...and juggle!
As neither may ever be genuine....I'd take always take the first booking, Mr 1 to come and do him quick, and accept the second one's booking.
Direct Mr 2 sweetly to grab a coffee, by a text or quick call once he's arrived. If I'm with Mr 1 and need to text I say I'm need a pee break, glass of water or need to wash my hands.
Tell Mr1 I'm having a shower, mislaid my front door key (anything mundane and domsestic), so can he wait 10 mins, any old flannel.

I've got a great idea, I'll live in a broom cupboard for nearly a decade and everything will be ok. Hmmm this idea's got legs!'

It takes me 45m to get ready, and I'm never available 'now', so would tell the second caller I was unavailable.

Which is why some punters don't believe us when it's a genuine reason?

I don't double book however for new clients I have a deposit system, I can be ready in 2 hours if I've no other commitments so  like Kay don't usually have this issue, I do sometimes get cancels from those who are on 2nd or 3rd appointments when I've stopped asking for a deposit - but it's unlikely someone else would have popped up in the meantime.

I have in the past turned down extensions to find the next person has cancelled, often with a very poor attitude. It's one of those things and I won't put others out because they or someone else might not turn up.

Sorry, mate not available.
If they really want to see you they will either book another time or call back.

Plus like others, I don't sit around ready.

Exactly. I would make more of an effort for a reliable regular, but since they tend to be reasonably sensible they don't really do this anyway. I also find that when they say 'now', they can mean anything up to half an hour away and they always sound baffled when I ask if that's them standing outside my window ::).

I can be ready in ten minutes or so provided I'm at my flat, showered and my room is set up, but I don't offer a drop in service and the callers who want one rarely sound appealing so I wouldn't be potentially buggering things up for the punter who was properly organised and booked in good time.

I’m always amazed at how many people own teleports theses days.
“Now” such a stupid thing to ask.

Since I always ask anyone coming to confirm an hour or half hour before, the problem with those that want to come 'now' is that they haven't had the time for the confirmation phone call. I actually don't mind short notice if I'm not busy, but it's hit and miss as I can't get them to confirm.

The "now" thing makes me insane, especially in Atlanta. We're at almost 8 million ppl here, you're not going anywhere fast, I assure you.

My favorite (note heavy sarcasm) is "Where are you? I'm on my way."

I reply in the most baffled manner how they can possibly be on their way, when they have no idea where the hell they're going?

Well! You have to tell me! Is their indignant slash entitled answer.

Same, deposit taken and time to prepare. Plus I need time between meeting people to recoup mentally, physically, freshen up completely.

I get this all the time for my Outcalls.
They are almost always timewasters with no intention to book.

Even if I happen to be sat in my car just 15 minutes from them, they will tell me it's too long to wait  >:(

Like someone else, if the 9:15 wanted half an hour I would cram him in and txt the 2nd on appointment time to say I’m just jumping out the shower as long as I’m only running a few mins late
