Working Fathers Day
« on: 14 June 2017, 11:42:54 pm »
So I've put availability on my profile for this Sunday which happens to be Fathers Day.

Had a few messages (clients I've never heard from before) to say, they can't do Sunday as it's Fathers Day.

Thinking of cancelling my day now if it's going to be a flop  ::)

Any one planning to work Sunday ?

No I won't be, but  I think you may be ok as not all guys are Dad's or have their own Dad's  :)x

Honestly, I think both fathers day and mothers day are days to avoid if it is going to incur you expenses to work. Most people are either a parent or have a parent. In my 8 years experience neither of these days are ever very busy, but you may get 1 or 2- if you are wanting high volume then I do think unlikely.

Yes not everyone makes a meal of it, sure I sent my Dad a card, and he contacted me by telephone - but that was it. We don't need to have a massive show of appreciation. Same on Mother's day, we meet up when it suits us not because society tells us to.
